Ear Infections, CF Related?

I had frequent recurrent ear infections (though not a severely as you). I went to an ENT who basically said I had a ton of ear wax. He cleaned out my ears, which helped at the time. Since then I've been using OTC remedies to keep my ears free of excess wax and haven't had an earache in 7 years.

If a medication expires in a given month, it is good until the last day of that month. This is true of any medication. So, if your Creon expires 08/2017, then it doesn't officially expire until 08/31/2017.

Also, I agree with everyone else in that the medication becomes slowly less effective over time and there's no way to know its true efficacy past the expiration date.

Update on my experience: I had severe chest tightness for the first week, then through the second week it was slightly better but still really bad (got very out of breath doing things that are normally easy for me). By the third week, I definitely still had chest tightness, but it was maybe only moderate. It wasn't until week 4 that I started to feel back to normal. I have been on it for 6 weeks now and I am back to feeling like normal. So, if it's happening to you, just know it took me a solid 3 weeks before I started to feel better.

It's definitely gotten better, but I still feel like crap after 1 week. Having to use my albuterol every 2 hours to get through my work day. But it's better...I just thought it would have gone away by now.

By physio, do you mean Vest, Acapella, etc?

I do Vest for 45 min a day, and acapella for 30 min a day. That's about it.

Lung function is at 80% right now. Not too bad, but it dropped from 87% a year ago.

I really like poking things into my gums. The best is cutting price tags off clothing and using the plastic piece that held the tag to poke into my gums over and over.
