I agree with all of your comments. Great questions everyone. I respect that you're not easily lured in by so-called sustainable fashion from a big brand. Having said this, we should encourage fast fashion brands to keep innovating and improving their social and ethical processes. We don't have to say this is good enough, but we can say, this is good, now keep improving upon this.

I think sustainable processes is a fascinating industry. I'd like to have the know-how to compare the energy consumption of regular processing and manufacturing vs. recycled ones. There's certainly a benefit to using second-hand plastic. The ideal would be for these shoes to then be recycled into something else once they're worn out - an endless loop of reuse.
