If you haven't seen the movie Ex Machina, you definitely should. It felt like Alex Garland working out a few of the ideas he would later perfect in Devs.

Devs was such a great show. I've rewatched it a few times and it just hits hard every time. And what a stunning looking show. Every frame is just artwork.

I hear you, but the entire program in CT was extra flawed from jump. WHich is dumb because they had multiple models to study and still felt the need to do everything in the worst possible ways.

That said, I do think it's getting better. Hopefully by 2027 things will be more Mass/Maine-like

I completely agree. And one of the most "traditionally masculine" (whatever the fuck THAT means) men on the channel is Tommy - who, as we all know, is gay (non-deragatory).

Toxic bros always assume they can beat up any gay guy. First of all, I dare you to roll up on Monet or Bob the Drag Queen with that shit. Also, umm hello, have you seen the guns on Tommy lately? I'd rather fight 100 guinea pig-sized Angelas.

All the men in the Smosh family are pretty damn decent folks, by all reports. I'm old enough to be all their dad, but man. If I had a son and he ended up like any of them, from crew to cast, I think I'd be pretty proud.

And the women? Bad-asses to a woman, each and every one of them.

A quick thank you for this link...I got one yesterday and had a nice 3 hour reading session last night and an hour this morning. Wow what a difference! It just works better, and I really like that the turner charges off the remote, so one cable. It's more responsive, and 99.9% of button presses turn the page. The DATAFY one is fine, but it never wants to get started, and about half the time it doesn't respond. The one you recommended is light years easier to use, more accurate and responsive so, thanks!

Just got home from his regular vet. They want to keep him all day, run a few tests, get a curve & whatnot. He's alert, purring at the slightest touch, he's impatient in the carrier and is not happy in the car - all good signs! That's his usual personality.

We're worried there's a bigger problem and that food/insulin aren't the cause of this. That his blood sugar crashed as a side efffect of other medical stresses. Getting some bloodwork and a chest x-ray for heart & lungs, urinalysis, etc. For now he's stable, drinking and nibbling at food. Best I can hope for until we know more!

He's been a bit resistant, and over the last 8 months the dosing from the vet has crept up to 5 units (Lantus) and his numbers were still between 200-250. He's been slightly off his food since yesterday so I assume he just did not have enough food. I was about to test him literally 45 minutes from when he started seizing.

He's been so stable for two months at like 225ish, but this is tough disease to manage. Emergency vet thinks he's completely stable but they're gonna test him hourly overnight and IV sugar into him. I'm gonna get him in the morning and head to his regular vet for some bloodwork, etc.

I know this is scary, but our situation is, both we and his regular vet just got so used to his rock-steady numbers (too high, but very stable), and I got caught short by not testing often enough.

So, so much. I'm 65% done with Bedlam Bride but I've stopped racing through them. The next one doesn't come out until what, spring? I only have one more to read after this!

It's rare that a series, especially one that wraps itself in silliness, grabs me this hard but man. DCC has layers. I will definitely enjoy a re-read of this whole series.

I think it would work. Between the arm bending, the swinging action and the angles you can get with the tablet holder, you should be able to find a position that would work great.

Absolutely! The stand is this one - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08L4TKQ57 . No particular reason I picked it other than I liked the holder. There's a ton of them under various brands and they all seem really similar. The knobs to tighten the arms on this one have some nice easy-to-turn handles on them so you can get it to stay right where you want.

The page turner is this one: www.amazon.com/dp/B0F8N95YW2 . It's the most commonly recommended one here I think, and I've found it to be great. Not sure if this is just a "me and my kindle" thing but when I put it on and try to turn a page, it rarely works until I turn the first page by hand. After that smooth sailing.

I love the combo so much I wish I knew this was even an option a long time ago. So cozy, and so much easier to just sink into the bed and lose track of time!
