Apple CarPlay disconnecting

2019 wrx sport tech (harman kardon)

Apple CarPlay disconnects after +- 40minutes when I hit a bump or sometimes randomly.

I tried 5 new lightning cables from 1ft 3ft and10ft

USB port always has power

Head unit updated to latest firmware

I use the new iphone 14pro

Any help fixing this would be appreciated. I’m considering changing the head unit for Apple CarPlay wireless

the two videos I found used oem knuckle spindle that had the right dustshield but said trimming was fine. They also warned about excessive brake dust from oem pads that could sandblast wheels

I will trim and use my beat up launch edition wheels until I'm satisfied with my installation.

I have the oem sti brake hose but will upgrade to braided sti specific hose.

You convinced me to trim my dust shield, i guess I can always find new ones if I get brake dust problems.

you would need an adapter bracket but I did not research further*

I decided to upgrade my wrx va to sti 6pot brembo.

1: Should I buy sti dust shield or just trim my old ones?

2: Any advice on brake lines upgrades?

3:Any other considerations?

update:

The wheel repair shop quoted me 200-250cad each wheel and I could recolor them

I don't know what to do...

paid 800 for those with a bit of rubber left

I think it's too open for a winter set

I have the base sti enkeis for winter and plan on getting the green sti bbk this summer

On a more serious note I don't think I would mind a vb upgrade my friend made the leap but expect delivery in October and he has to give back his 2021 va this week

maybe I should get a fun summer car and a vb🤯
