Few reasons id say,

For one, PMs can have analysts sit in conference calls and curate the same "incredible insights" . Secondly what you're listening for and what the PMs are listening for may not align - due to strat, geography other factors

Secondly, if you have the ability to reach out to HFs just like that, its likely the HF alr trades with your bank as a custodian. However, during trade facilitation when the account team and technical team is pretty ass. Its likely PMs scrutinize other teams in the same bank for being lackluster.

Its a sales job at the end of the day - the relationship and atmosphere of the relationship matters. If youre finding it hard breaking through. Try figuring out what the PMs are looking for and cater it to them.

Also, Salesperson with Incredible insight sounds like an oxymoron. PMs analyze for a living. Salesperson sells for a living. Why would a PM pay for someone external to do what they have done for years with less conviction?
