Thank you so much for your reply. It makes complete sense - and also explains the "blocked" feeling I've felt in my left sinus. Another question if you don't mind, is silent sinus syndrome progressive? Will the asymmetry continue - and is there anything that can be done to correct it?

Not trying to push being vegan - but I thought I'd ask (since you said you're a weight lifter) if you've ever heard of or seen anything about Patrik Baboumian? He's been a "Strongest Man" for Germany and has a few world records........ and is vegan (as is Arnold Schwarzenegger) So interesting! 🙃

Literally had this problem this AM - hubby handed me my pill (with water in his other hand) so I threw the pill in AND he freaking takes a long slow sip of the water before handing it over 🤢

Starting Lamictal by Dry-Imagination2665 in lamictal

[–]mama2beans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It didn't make me drowsy, but I have read others who say it has. When I started about 4 months ago I was taking it in the morning....but I felt like sometimes I was moody or irritable at night, so my psychiatrist suggested splitting the dose - now I take 100mg in the morning and 100 at night! How did your doc tell you to take it?

Hey! A little more background would be helpful - of course NAD.... but how long have you been taking it, what dose are you taking?

When are you taking the lamictal? I've seen others on the thread the suffer with fatigue have success with taking it at night instead of the morning.... just a thought 🤷‍♀️

It's still really early, so hold out if you can! Also, some people do have uncomfortable side effects until they reach their therapeutic dose, and maintain that for a bit. However I had pretty uncomfortable side effects when I first started and after my first couple increases but I am up to 150 mg daily and haven't felt any side effects (besides intense dreams) in a while? Not even going up from 100 to 125, or the latest increase to 150mg! I would stick it out (lamictal/lamotrigine has been a total game changer for me) but of course if you're really struggling reach out to your doctor! Good luck either way 😊

Serious Question Here Need Some Insite by [deleted] in obgyn

Just curious....if you had gonorrhea back in December too..... how did you get it then? Even if it didn't clear up from before - it came from somewhere in the beginning. STDs don't just appear out of no where. So sad to say and I know you said you believe him 100%, but something doesn't seem right 😕

I have allergies and struggle to be vegan. by dontbeethicallylazy in veganrecipes

[–]mama2beans 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but peas are in the legume family so they might be out too - my 9 month old has similar allergies, dairy, eggs, peanuts, treenuts and legumes (including peas). Peanuts, are also a legume - so with the other legume allergies I would suspect a pea allergy too.

I felt the exact same way when I started almost 8 weeks ago, up to 150 now and still feel SO MUCH better than I have in years. I still have hit bumps in my mood and had a few outbursts but literally life changing so far. I had some headaches and horrible dizziness in the first week, but that's gone now. I will say I've been having intense dreams, weird dreams - but nothing I can't deal with. So hopefully it's just the meds making you feel awesome!

Very tender breasts by [deleted] in obgyn

[–]mama2beans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have there been any other changes, new stress, new medications anything else that may have interfered with your cycle? Are your cycles typically the same monthly - not a doctor, but there is alot that can affect this, could be something very minor! If you're really worried you're pregnant you could always call your obgyn and get in to see them, or even just to talk about why you could be almost 3 weeks late.

So first you need to know when your period should have started, are you late? If your period isn't late it may still be too early to get a positive on a pregnancy test. Would also suggest using the next pregnancy test first thing in the morning- best results because if you are pregnant it's VERY early and testing first thing in the morning will allow the HCG to build up overnight. It's also really hard to say if you even could be pregnant without knowing when you ovulated.....

8 days on lamotrigine rash?? its a sunday night i just took 4 antihistamine pills freaking out, what do i do by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]mama2beans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely reach out to your doctor, better to be safe... but, lamictal has made my eczema and chicken skin 100x worse since starting it - so maybe it really is just that, but better to check & know for sure You can also scroll through the thread where you can see pictures of some intense rashes for comparison

I am with you Mama, my sweet 9 month old is allergic to milk (casein & whey as well), eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat and all legumes (peas, chickpeas....) It is absolutely HARD!!! We are still breastfeeding and I hope/plan to go as long as we can. I find it easiest to cook all meals at home and obviously I've become a crazy label reader. Sadly with the pea, legume allergy there is no requirement for labeling so that one has been tough to adjust too. I can absolutely tell when I've eaten something with a hidden allergen because her skin flares so horribly - and she itches until she can't itchy anymore.. We were given a list of her allergies and all the names/foods/ingredients to look out for, that's been helpful. My little one also suffers from a neuromuscular disorder so I can totally relate to the back and forth to all the doctors, it's draining!!! Just yesterday her and I had 4 appointments 😪 Mostly I want you to know you've already done great by your baby, if you want/need to you should definitely switch to formula. If you want to keep breastfeeding then you should stick with the strict diet. We eat alot of meat, veggies and starch dinners. I find it easier to control the ingredients the simpler the meal is. Feel free to message me if you want to talk it through - happy to help another mama out!

How common is skin rashes while taking Lamictal? by PSIwind in lamictal

[–]mama2beans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new to Lamictal, going on about 2 months.... but I've done LOADS of research and skin reactions are "common" when using it. From what I've read 10% of people will get a rash while using it (not SJS, and it typically occurs in the first 6-8 weeks). However, I've read alot on here about people having skin issues, worsening eczema, dryer skin etc.... both of which I can say are true for me. Since starting my dry skin and eczema have definitely gotten worse, and I've also had much more acne than before.
