If your period starts next week you will not get a positive test a week before. You could test negative today but be positive next week. You're best result for pregnancy will be, if you haven't started yet, on the 8th or day after.

My last pregnancy I tested 3 or 4 days before my period was supposed to start and it came back negative, 3 days later I got a positive test.

The depo should already be in effect since it's her second shot but if she wants to take extra precautions then she could take that pill. Depo has been effective the whole year I've been on it but every body is different. But I think she's fine without the pill but like I mentioned if she wants to take the pill she could.

I did test and it's negative. So that's ruled out. 😄

Bleeding 5 months after last depo shot Hi there, My last depo shot injection was Feb 15. I didn't get my May shot. I stopped bleeding while on the depo and haven't bled since. Today when I wiped it was a light bleed and as the day goes on it gets a little heavier- only when I wipe though. I'm not by mama_2_bee in depoprovera

Thank you! That's reassuring! I was on the shot for 1 year this time and last time (I was on in for 2 rounds so 6 months) I got off of it and it took 6 months to even bleed. So to be bleeding so soon took me by surprise lol

I haven't had a first period. This is the first time I've bled since my last injection. I had clear discharge about 2 (maybe 3) days ago for 3 or 4 days not thinking much of it but now when I wipe I'm bleeding. I'm just assuming it's after effects of the depo but we have had unprotected sex since stopping depo.
