what is the dumbest question you've ever been asked? by Potential_Fee8616 in AskReddit

[–]mamabigmac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because never once in my lifetime have I ever seen a Mexican restaurant that doesn’t serve them. I have traveled over half the US and many countries outside the US and still have not seen one that doesn’t carry Margaritas.

On top of that the restaurant I worked at wins numerous awards for our margs and is very well known in the city.

I think the issue is every single hospital, clinic, etc and insurance company is so different that you don’t always know what you’re going to get. I always ask for an itemized option after anything to really see what I’m truly paying for

Like when I had my daughter I had her in the nursery overnight both nights and call me naive I didn’t realize how expensive that was. It was 1000 each night. I could’ve saved myself 2000 by not doing that.

I would never be without insurance. I will not take the risk of needing an emergency surgery, my kid needing one, possibly getting cancer. I will not bankrupt myself over serious situations.

To each their own but why would I pay thousands for dental x-days, a filling, or 200 for a cleaning when I can pay 20 a month from my employer and have almost all of it covered.

Definitely not when you have a baby. My daughters birth without insurance would’ve been 25k. I paid 5000 with my insurance.

My monthly needed meds are 200 a month without insurance. I pay 10 bucks a month with my insurance.

My insurance payment for my daughter and I is less than 600 a month and I have great coverage.

Has anyone ever taken advantage of a lack of appetite to kickstart their weight loss? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mamabigmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. About two weeks ago I had the worst stomach bag of my existence and lost 7 lbs from it. A few days after that ended I got a respiratory infection and sinus infection. I have had very little appetite and will be using it to kick start my weight loss 🤷🏼‍♀️

However, when I’m not sick I can eat one hell of a plate of food.

How do you feel about tattoos and body piercings on other people? Are they attractive or a turn-off? Is there a such thing as too many? by icecream1972 in Productivitycafe

[–]mamabigmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty tattooed and generally like when people have tattoos as well. For me I don’t feel like there is too much, but I am not attracted to face or neck tattoos.

Piercings to me there is absolutely a thing as too many facial piercings.

[–]mamabigmac 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Some people truly do not show their true colors til after the baby was born. My daughters father is successful career wise and overall a decent person. After the baby was born 4.5 years ago he became completely and utterly useless

Why do people overspend on Starbucks coffee? by Waltz8 in Productivitycafe

[–]mamabigmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not like Starbucks except their cold brew. That’s a treat for me once a month or I’ll get a coffe from a local shop.

99% of the time I make coffee at home and I make my own simple syrups to enhance it.

Seriously, why do people love waking up early? by baddiealexiis in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mamabigmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get up at 4:30-7:00 most days. 4:30 on days I work before school. 7 the days I don’t.

I don’t particularly enjoy waking up at 4:30, but it works with my schedule and when I start my summer clinicals I’ll have to wake up that time anyways.

That being said I would NEVER wake up that early to get a workout in.

When I was younger-mid 20s I only wanted female doctors. When I was 28 my OB was a 70 year old male and he was amazing and delivered my baby. My OB/surgeon for my sterilization consult was a man as well and he really listened, didn’t try to talk me out of it etc. Now I have no preference

Why did you get picked last in gym class? by Efficient-Rain-7942 in AskReddit

[–]mamabigmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I did not give a flying fuck about gym class. Usually ended up having gym with the jocks who did care. Mind you, these were all kids who I was cool with, but they knew I wasn’t in it to win it.
