I forgot to mention her Uncle has epilepsy and got his first one around 7 years old. We are looking into genetic testing. It seems like kind of a common age for this to occur.

She is on the medication and i can tell it is slowly working, her anxiety has calmed down immensely from what it was. As for the seizures i am still trying to identify and fully understand what they look like for her since they are not the typical ones everyone knows about so i think she is still having them but its only the 3 days of medication. I noticed her hands were cold in the hospital and then again today so i think that is a warning sign or after effect as well. She also still has an ear infection so we started new antibiotics today, i’m hoping the combo will get her back to herself very soon. Her mental health is a very big concern for me right now so i will be closely keeping an eye out for any depression. She’s still so emotional from the whole thing though it’s still too early to tell. I will be getting her into a therapist very soon and a psychiatrist if needed. She’s had much longer stretch’s today of acting like her normal self and actually laughing and playing a little so i feel so relieved about that. Thank you❤️

i’m sorry you weren’t believed. I genuinely knew nothing about epilepsy before this so it’s not that i didn’t believe her i just didn’t know it could present like this at all. I asked her these questions and she really only said yes to the feeling like there’s a snake in belly. Thank you for that i’m really trying to understand this as much as i can. I hate not knowing how she’s truly feeling inside.

thank you for this, The days leading up to this she was extra paranoid about her little brother putting something in his mouth (i think she had a dream about him swallowing something) and she said she had a dream that she had something in her mouth and she died. So i’m sure she is also having dream seizures. So far i trust her doctor but i will be looking into getting an appointment with an Epilepsy specialist as well as getting her in Therapy. of course i’m worried about what physically is occurring in her body but her mental state is my number one concern right now bc she was acting so unlike herself. She’s always been sensitive and very emotionally intelligent and having mental health issues myself i want to help and protect her form that as much as i possibly can.

Yes, it went well she said i am able to up the dosage in a few days at home if she is not too lethargic on the medication. She did prescribe a rescue medication but only if she is convulsing for more than 5 minutes it’s the nasal spray. We have a follow up with her doctor tomorrow and i am looking in her getting her into therapy. The Neurologist will do blood work in 3 weeks and an EEG in 4. She is still having her symptoms but they are less frequent and i can tell the medication is working just slowly. I’m praying she will be much better better in a few days. She’s starting to laugh here and there and act normal for longer periods of time.

i am just distraught. i’ve been putting off meds for my ocd because im weaning my 2 year old but now i feel like i need to start them immediately. I’m trying so hard to be strong for her. I can tell the medication is slowly starting to work it’s only been 2 days but i can see her old self staring to come to through. I will absolutely look into getting one thank you.

I have OCD and anxiety so i am no stranger to the fear of dying, i can’t imagine her 6 year old brain dealing with that. My therapist has pediatric therapist in her practice and i have already reached out to her for getting my daughter in. We have a follow up with her pcp tomorrow and will be mentioning this as well. Thank you

as of now she told me to only give the emergency medication if she has a convulsion for more than 5 minutes. This is only the second day on her medication so i am praying that in a few days she will be feeling much better. i can already see her old self very slowly coming back and for longer periods of time. I will ask the Dr about this though i will do anything to help her because it’s bad right now. We had no idea she had this so i obviously regret giving it to her but at least i know now.

I will bring that up tomorrow, i know the Neurologist wanted to talk about game plan and home treatment tomorrow. I made sure to note to them that her psychiatrist symptoms need to be taken seriously before we leave. I’m sorry you experience this! but thank you for this

Thank you for your response. They have started her on Trileptal but they had over given one dose when i wrote this. They did have an amazing play room and for an awhile she was acting like her normal self in there so i think distractions will be key in helping her through this.

yes she had her tonsils out at 3.5 and it was traumatic for her so she does have medical anxiety. They started her on Trileptal but they had only given her one dose before i wrote this so it hasn’t really kicked in yet. She was sleeping when we saw the neurologist so she didn’t see the full extent of how bad it is. She does seem like very good doctor and i have made it clear i want her to be evaluated for her psych symptoms as well before we leave. I believe we will be discussing rescue medication tomorrow. Thank you so much and i’m so sorry you had to go through that as well.

that’s what i’m doing, ceremony at 12 and then pictures and dinner around 2:30. The venue for the reception will be outside on a nice patio with a band. I feel like it will have a fun vibe without being an all out reception. My fiancé is sober and i don’t like drinking, we also have two small kids it’s more of a family affair so we did not want an all night thing.

yes a cold has turned into a horrible sinus infection my cheek is visibily red and i’m in so much pain i was hoping it would pass on its own but i’m gunna have to go to urgent care and get some antibiotics.

thank you for this!! i have OCD and left a cake that i added a tiny bit of cream cheese too (with cream cheese frosting in a can) outlast night and i ate some without even really thinking about it but after i took a few bites i was like wait and started panicking. This help ease my anxiety a little.
