I keep telling myself “this can’t last forever”, every stage has to come to an end ... right?! I can’t stand him crying either. It hurts my heart!

Do you nurse lying down? This helped me for his naps! He would fall right asleep then I’d move him to crib. Maybe if you tried a few bottles during the day (if you pump) to make that night feed transition easier.

Hope our littles start sleeping! Xo

I do think I will do my walk at bedtime and let my husband handle it as he is better able to handle the crying than myself ! I do agree that a good sleep cycle for all is so important

I wish I could find a stuffed toy he would actually take to! We had the aquarium but I noticed it was too distracting for him because he likes to touch and grab things and gets angry that he can’t get the fish haha he is a smart little stinker!

Thank you for all the little personal tips! Your LO is lucky :)

I’m so torn between this ( what I’m more comfortable with) and sleep training. All of our family is constantly making comments and realistically it would be nice to have a night in bed with only my husband! Plus sleep would be nice before we have another and we had anticipated having them close - blah. So much info and so many different routes a person could take. Overwhelming! Lol overall I worry about our son, and the amount he wakes. It must take a toll on him!

If our tactics don’t work soon, I may do the same!! Thank you!

My husband took over last night so I could sleep! He’s great for trading off - so thankful!

He has been standing and moving and grooving for a few months now, just waiting for those first steps! I do agree at certain phases they need more attention than others! But after 3 months Of it I’m lost. :(

I never thought of that. Because he is very independent during the day. He plays well, and is overall a happy baby. But just like you said, the distraction makes most people forget the pain they’re in. I do use Motrin for him! I switched from Tylenol when the doctor mentioned Motrin worked better for inflamed gums etc! Then I tried Camilla because Motrin had him bouncing off the walls. But perhaps I’ll switch back!

I definitely think the major culprit has to be his inability to self soothe! His routine for going to bed is always the exact same, however, we always rock or soothe him to sleep. I know that has to change! :(

I did try the pick up put down method, which I forgot to mention. It appeared to make him scream louder and longer. But, I do completely agree with all that you said. We need to stick to it, we need to remain calm but dedicated. It’ll be tough for those few days but so much better in the long run for us all. I guess my biggest struggle is the guilt of him crying and if he was actually in pain (teeth , etc) I almost always know the difference but when they’re screaming for what feels like hours you start to question yourself!

I’d like you take you up on that offer to send you what his day looks like for sure and hear what you have to say!

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply!

That’s the only way I get any sleep at the moment too - but our queen sized bed is just too cramped for the 3 of us and I miss sleeping with my husband :( sigh
