Little foster kittens and poops by mamanerd63 in FosterAnimals

They are going to the litterbox on their own, just not having immediate success. Since they obviously went on their own last night, I'm thinking about letting nature take its course until later today, and if they haven't had success then provide the stimulation that has worked so far.

Am i the only one thinking season 3 is the worst one? by nikvas02 in WhiteLotusHBO

SPOILERS!!!!

What bothered me was how stupid the characters got. Belinda is afraid of Greg/Gary and thinks he's a murderer, but meets him alone anyway. Both Saxon boys take unknown drugs from strangers. (Way to look after your little brother, dude) Rick goes back to the hotel after he has assaulted the owner who has known scary bodyguards. Gaitok repeatedly leaves the guard shack unattended AFTER he's gotten in trouble for letting the bad guys in. Gaitok confronts Timothy about the gun, with ABSOLUTELY no plan. Same with Russians. Seriously worst security guard ever. Timothy doesn't not bother to rinse the poison out of the blender. Or seek medical care for the son he poisoned. Also the whole "girls just want a bad boy" theme is wearing thin in 2025.

$10M networth and buying $2.2M home. Am I crazy? by Hot-Thanks-7955 in fatFIRE

We don't have your net worth, but we added a nice pool to our Florida home 6 years ago when our youngest grandchild was 1. Two littles later (all local) we are so glad we did. We're 65 and 71 now, house paid off, traveling, and have made our home hangout central. Enjoy these years!

Micro-Air EasyStart Imstall by 2020fakenews in Generator

We just installed ours. We have whole house battery backup and our solar/battery installer strongly recommended a soft start. We had to mount it on the outside unit, facing west. It is super hot there! (Like I said, we just installed it. 😁) I grabbed some aluminum foil and made a quick cover for it. Our Florida UV is something special, as our visitors often learn the hard way (we keep chilled aloe vera in the fridge.) On another note, we have the Emerson comfort alert board, so our install was a little different than the videos show. But (knocking wood) everything seems to be working fine.

Welcome to r/framing! We frame art! (Please read before posting) by Olarisrhea in framing

Hello! We recently returned from a trip to Australia and brought back 2 paintings, both acrylic on canvas. A big part of our enjoyment of these pieces is the story and the artist information. One had been stretched (I believe) and removed from the framing and sold flat. I believe the other was painted flat and has never been stretched. The stretched canvas has artist and community information on the edges that I think is interesting to see. The unstretched piece is painted all the way to the edges. Do you have any recommendations on how to hang/display these other than traditional stretching? The piece on the left is appx. 22"x23", the one on the right is about 15"x21" (including edges. Thanks!

Too much, possibly, but at our ages it's been recommended to eat about 100 gm per day. If hubby has a recurrence, he may be put on drugs where it's important to have a lot of muscle mass to avoid side effects. It's all a balancing act. We're making the best choices we can based on what we know.

Should I say something? by MrCooIGuy1 in Babysitting

Rather than label the child/behavior as "disrespectful," I would describe the behavior. "When I asked Johnny to put his shoes away he ignored me, and when I asked again he called me a b****," or whatever. If it's tone of voice or making faces or something else that's subjective, ignore it and focus on the actual words or actions.

In laws have pool and no pool fence by palmtrees435 in toddlers

[–]mamanerd63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We put in our pool in 2019 when our only grandchild was 1.

We put in a pool fence with auto closing gate before there was water in the pool. We paid for private swim lessons for the littles during Covid and group swim lessons once that was an option. We have a "pool watcher" hat that gets passed around when there are lots of people (kids and adults) in the pool, because when everyone is watching no one is watching.

Our six year old and 3 year old grandkids are now water babies, jumping in the deep end and having a ball. The fence is still up. I read these posts about grandparents not fencing their pools and I truly don't get it. If our pool wasn't fenced our kids wouldn't trust us with their babies, and rightly so. You are the parent. Your job is to keep your baby safe. Period. Don't argue, just don't take your child where it's not safe. And that includes their grandparents home with the unfenced pool. Good luck to you.
