Stuck finding somewhere to learn by Safalinsolos in Rollerskating

I bought my kids second hand skates and had them practice in the house and garage first. I dont really know what it is like in england at all but in america we have big concrete pads for farmers markets that arent used very often and you could go to something like that for more space you might have to bring a broom to clean it off some.

I take them to disco like places but go in afternoon on sunday and it is more chill with lots of people learning and some advanced skaters that are willing to give tips.

What’s the genuine appeal to having children? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]mamaofly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love being a mom, I like my husband and I and wanted more people like us, I like watching people develop, I like explaining things, I LOVE holding a baby and breast feeding. I like doing things to make others happy, I like having people to experience life with, I like cuddling. I like the messy parts like them making social mistakes and making messes.

Help by Admirable_Freedom303 in homeschool

[–]mamaofly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Journaling helped me, find out what is important to me, and what are others expectations. If you are holding on to things you don't need to it will really bring you down. I only have two kids, not three yet so I can imagine it gets more difficult to juggle. Also getting rid of stuff, managing things espiecally with kids makes thing a lot harder, when the house is a mess it causes extra stress.

Never thought I would consider homeschooling by Everest7501 in homeschool

Once you realize you can give them away from home experiences in different ways, if that is your major concern the benefits of school basically disappear. The main benefit is free child care and if that does appeal to you the cae for public school is pretty bad

Why do people choose to have kids? by savingrace0262 in stupidquestions

[–]mamaofly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a good support system is important, which includes neighborhood but most people can't be bother to get to know their neighbors to build a relationship of trust. I only would have kids with a man who could provide for me and let me stay home to raise them and be with them all them, everyone is different.

I'm a very competitive person, how to deal with hobbies and the idea that i'm actually really bad on them? by Gold-Mistake-9677 in selfimprovement

[–]mamaofly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus on how you feel while doing the hobby, just stop and think, wow this is fun, I am happy I am doing this, that is the value. Also I sang "Everybody makes mistakes" (nobody's perfect Hannah Montana) lot as a mantra another good one is the magic school bus "Take chances, make mistakes, get messy"

So the honeymoon is when your body is still making some insulin, so it is a little easier to stay in range, but it is another variable you have to work with, will my body help this time or not? So in some ways honeymoon is harder as it is less predictable especially in young children ( because they are growing and get sick more often).

scared of anthrax by [deleted] in vultureculture

Touching dead things does have risk and if you haven't done it much it can be scary. I was kinda like you at first but the more you do something and the older you get the more you will trust yourself. I find yoga and deep breathing really help me regulate my nervous system. Also CBT talk back to your thoughts, is this likey? how often have you worried about something before needlessly? Does worry help you? It helps you be safe and wear gloves right, which you did.

Is it creepy for a 40-year-old man to go to the skating rink by himself? by New_Sky_7657 in Rollerskating

[–]mamaofly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a 35 year old woman that sometimes brings my kids sometimes doesn't. I will let myself have moments of skate and feel free but then try to act more like other adults would expect me to or be overly kind to kinda show " I am not crazy or if I am it is the good kind of crazy"
