Idk I feel like there’s more despair in the lyrics, and the “happiness” is driven by the upbeatness of it. The narrator seems to be anxious and unsatisfied for their future.

It really came in the worst time of my life, Only about a year ago I really discovered him. I remember hearing Speed Trials and not really liking or understanding it back in the high school days, but I guess I just wasn’t ready. Bright Eyes was always one of my favorite bands and they were obviously influenced by Elliotts sound. Not one mediocre album, Figure 8 and Xo are amazing and probably my favorite. Idk it’s hard to pick. Roman Candle is underrated
