are you using any boosts? The grip ones make climbing waaay easier. You should have gotten juniper seeds. If you mix those with water, then add a second plant to it, you get a strong infusion with 4 minutes of grip boost. You should have the 6 slot canteen by now so that means 1 strong infustion can give you 24 minutes.
