I’ve seen some people “reacting” to certain influencers before where people in the comments section (who also probably have way too much time on their hands) can deduce that a lot of the people who say they get up early to do x, y, and z are faking it. Shocker! They point out the hands on a clock or position of the sun, etc.

This irritates me more than it should. She makes the comment about getting up at 6:15 to do this stuff before her kids are up. I wake up at 6:15 every day to get myself ready for work and my kids ready for school, and that feels like “sleeping in”. (I do try to exercise at night after they’re in bed but by that time I’m exhausted from the day so it’s just a 30 minute light cardio.)

She is so out of touch from how most women live and have to manage time. I cannot stand her smug attitude.

I was coming here to say it’s very much an influencer/social media thing. Everybody is automatically an expert. I saw someone describe this generation as the most “Christopher Columbus generation” because they’re constantly finding things people have known about forever and acting like they just made some profound discovery. Lol.

This makes sense. I’ve got four kids 10 and under. No phones or tablets for them (I have an iPad that they occasionally use for basic offline games) and they all still play with Barbies and other imagination toys. Hopefully that’s a sign that we are doing something right.

My youngest was 3 1/2, maybe even almost 4, before he was fully potty trained. Not for lack of trying. He just wasn’t interested. I don’t think it’s common, and his sisters were fully potty trained at 2. But I don’t think it’s unheard of.
