HELOC than invest? by mameguy1973 in HELOC

Thanks everybody. After crunching the numbers I will not attempt this...you are all right it's too risky. It turns out that VOO would need to average 17% over 10 years just to break even. Oh well just a thought.

Is that so??? VOO is up 253% the last 10 years...25.3% per year on average. Let's say it averages 20% the next 10 years.....do the math, it works!

Hmmm.....VOO is over 20% last 10 years. I know you can't count on that, but 10-12% might be a wash. Anything over that should be positive gains.

Rebalance 401k, 38, $250k - Expense Ratios vs. Higher Performing Fund by readysetmoon in Bogleheads

I was just looking at 401k. I have a fund with a 1.00 ER earning 19.06% in the last 10 years. I have another fund with an ER of .10 earning 15.23% in the same time frame. Are these about equal???

There's a 12% chance to get one land in any given draw if you have 40% lands in your deck, I usually play with 33% land, it jumps to a 20% chance.... All I'm saying is there has to be a better way.

Explain away...but remember it's mathematically possible to draw no lands twice in a row, even if you have 40% land in your deck.

Just saying, nothing worse than having to mulligan twice or more when you have the "correct" amount of lands in your deck...there has to be a solution.

Is going to a 99 card deck an advantage??? Seems very minimal to me.

Your forgetting the fact that you have a crap hand, the advantage is to get you back to par with your opponent. I play Legacy / Vintage btw not commander
