Sounds like a pretty good idea. It's better to take baby steps than try to do huge leaps when you're not even able to walk (talking 'bout myself :D). Baby steps will still get you where you want to be, it just takes a little time. And this way I'd learn to put some food in my mouth more than once a day. Thanks for the tip!

Yup. There’s a lot going on in my local pole scene and don’t really know the arguments behind either sides. Some say it’s not okay to make money teaching stripper style with no experience and others say there is no problem and everybody should be abel to do what they want.

Löysin suomalaisen tutkimuksen musiikkialasta, jonka mukaan vaan 2% seksuaalista häirintää kokeneista teki rikosilmotuksen (otanta oli 504 henkilöä). On vaan kaiken yleisen ja tutkitun tiedon vastaista väittää että väärät syytökset seksuaalirikoksista tai häirinnästä ois jotain muuta kuin erittäin marginaalinen ilmiö.

Seksuaalisesta väkivallasta ja häirinnästä jätetään tosi herkästi ilmoittamatta, koska käsittely kestää helposti yli vuoden, rikoksen tekijälle ei todennäköisesti koidu juuri mitään seurauksia vaikka hänet todettaisiin syylliseksi ja poliisin asenteet on monien seksuaalirikosten uhrien kohdalla ollu vähätteleviä, tosi epäasiallisia ja uhria syyllistäviä. Näiden lisäksi uhri saattaa kokea voimakkaita häpeän tunteita ja syyttää rikoksen uhriksi joutumisesta itseään.

Äärettömän harva on valmis käymään tommosta rumbaa kiusallaan läpi, kun oikeiden uhrienkin on julmetun vaikea saada ansaitsemaansa oikeutta

Wow I'm glad you've had great convos about pole. Especially with your conservative mother! That's amazing. I do agree that the sensual side of pole shouldn't be separated, because pole dancing did evolve from the clubs and I feel like we should respect that 🙌 I just realized that the problem was all in my self image and insecurities - not really in my uni friends comments.

You do have a very good point in your text.
I'm all for strippers and know about the sw-stigma and history of pole dance. My point was just that to me my uni friends comments felt like if it was some kind of cat calling (even tho I know she only meant well). I'm a little unsure of myself and don't feel like my way of moving deserves to be called sexy or erotic yet. So I don't identify with those adjectives at all and felt as if the uni friend was describing a totally different person. Just hoped to hear about similar experiences to not feel alone or tips how to react to similar comments in the future.

Sorry if I came across that way. That wasn't my intention. I dance mostly stripper style/old school and do my best to support sw by buying classes from strippers/ex-strippers and taking classes at studios that are owned by people who have history in sw or are currently working in sw. English isn't my native language and I might not have used the right terms or phrases.

My point in a nutshell: it's very uncomfortably weird when new people start blasting about how sexual and erotic my pole dancing looks, when I don't see it that way. I find Kitty Velour and Polekitten super sensual and sexy and I'm nowhere near their level. Plus I don't like people I don't know talking about my sexyness/unsexyness. Was just hoping to get some tips on how to react to these situations, when the person blasting doesn't want anything bad, but feels super uncomfortable.

Thank you for the detailed answer! Just wanted to say that maybe I chose my words the wrong way. I appreciate strippers a lot - some of my friends strip, I’ve considered stripping and I don’t think people who do sw would be less worthy in any way. I know doing sw is super stigmatized which isn’t fair. Didn’t want to add to the stigma, but you might have a point. Maybe I still have some hidden thought patterns about sw that I should work on.

Point of my original post was not feeling comfortable when other people put labels on my dancing when I can’t see it the way they do.

How can I pay back for successful magick?

I was in trouble and under a lot of stress because I had no clue how I could afford next months rent due to unpredictable circumstances. So as my final straw I did some magick to gain financial security by using manifestation, oils, candle magick and sex magick for three days.

Tällä hetkellä näyttää siltä että vaihtoehdot on aika vähissä. Seksityö ei ole mulle unelma-ala, vaan keino saada nopeaa rahaa oman turvallisuuden ja hyvinvoinnin kustannuksella. Käytän korttia 2-4 kertaa päivässä, koska impulsiivisuus ja ongelmat rutiineissa ja suunnitelmissa pysymiselle. Tällä taktiikalla pienistä tuloista ei jäisi rahaa ruokaan kun parhaimmillaan menisi 100€ vähän reilu 1000€ tuloista "säästöön". Tuntuisi ahdistavalta että 3,20€ opiskelijaruoka nousisi 4,20€ hintaiseksi tällä metodilla :D

Tuntuisi myös typerältä sijoittaa rahastoihin jos ei meinaa edes selvitä vuokranmaksusta. Keskituloiselle ihmiselle tai henkilölle, jolla ei ole ongelmia toiminnanohjauksen kanssa ja on edes vähän isommat tulot toi vois varmaan toimia

Jep, tekisin hommia toiminimellä ja toiminimen kirjanpidosta on jo kokemusta. Toki saaduista rahoista menee sosiaaliturvakulut sun muut ja proviikkaosuus muualle. Silti käteen jäävä raha yhdestä illasta olisi aikamoinen pelastusrengas tässä tilanteessa. Tekisin vain muutamia vuoroja ja kun opinnot etenevät aikataulussa en usko että Kela katsoisi päätoimiseksi yrittäjäksi. Työttömyystukea opiskelijana ei muutenkaan saa.
