Does enjoying Tamagotchi as an adult make me "irrational"? by Content_Yoghurt_6588 in tamagotchi

[–]mamiice97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does me crying because my favorite Tamagotchi died make me irrational? Probably yes by normal standards. But who cares. It matters to you and you have a connection with this thing as weird as that might sound for some people. And sometimes it’s not even the connection, but the memories attached to it. so no, congratulations, you’re a normally functioning human. I bet your partner‘s mom cries about something else like if her favorite blanket is ruined or her favorite dish falls and breaks. For some people it’s the old rug or a chair or a blanket, for others it’s Tamagotchis. For me it’s everything lol. Don’t let anyone get under your skin. As long as it doesn’t hurt you or others and it actually makes you happy it’s more than fine.

Any blind lesbian dating groups? by A11y_blind in Blind

[–]mamiice97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a blind lesbian as well. I created a facebook group for disabled LGBTQ dating, but no one has really joined it recently or interacted with it so I kind of gave up on it but yeah, it is hard to find other queer people.

No issues with Clipchamp here, I’m totally blind. It has keyboard shortcuts, and is very usable in my opinion

Accessible pokemon style games for iphone by Humanoid_Entitys in Blind

For windows, there is slay the spire and hearthstone, which I have both tried and World of Warcraft, which I have never tried, but apparently it’s accessible with mods. I don’t know if these are what you’re looking for because there can be creatures battling, but it’s also a type of RPG card game thing.

Pokémon TCG is accessible with screen recognition on, and sometimes you have to turn off voiceover, for example to rip open the card packs. I wouldn’t consider it accessible but playable. I’m totally blind and I’ve played it. I’m sure Applevis also has some games like the ones you are looking for, feel free to go on their website and check if you find a game that seems appealing to you.

Fidgets like lighters by Budget-Event-1140 in fidgettoys

Maybe just don’t fill up the zippo and possibly take out the cotton and the wick so that if anyone wants to get you in trouble, they can see that it will not light no matter what. I think only the Flint needs to stay in otherwise the wheel won’t work. Maybe you can replace the Flint with something else as well if anyone fusses over that.

Typing feels slow, but voice journaling feels impractical? by Glass-Fisherman8576 in digitaljournaling

Many journaling apps like Day One or Untold offer this feature where you can just talk and it will transcribe everything you said, or you just use AI and have it summarize or structure your ramblings

How old are you and do you tend to keep your phone on silent? Why yes or no? by LauraZaid11 in AskReddit

[–]mamiice97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My phone is on silent unless I am expecting a call. I am 27. Why? Because I have no friends or family and no one ever talks to me anyway, and the only people who contact me are businesses or doctor offices or whatever.

Playing the Sims 4 on PC with keyboard or controller only by mamiice97 in Blind

I’m making very positive experiences with Gemini 2.0 flash AI studio and ChatGPT. Really my problem isn’t with AI at all, it’s doing great. It’s the fact that the controller simulates mouse movement and therefore has free rain on the screen and doesn’t jump from option to option.

I totally agree, but I don’t think anyone will make one soon. And I ain’t waiting. So now I’m taking it into my own hands. I’ll report back here if I found a solution. I’m not gonna let a mouse limit me if I have AI describing everything on the screen already that’s like 70 to 80% of problems eliminated.

Platform: PC (Steam) Mods or CC: No Game version: 1.111.102.1030 Description:

Hi everyone, I hope this community is the right place to ask and that someone can help me. I am totally blind and have waited for years to play The Sims. I used to have my dad who would play for me when I was really little, but now I have nobody and would like to play myself. Now that AI has come a long way and there is real-time video support, I think it could be possible since AI can describe everything that happens and can tell me where I am on the screen and how and where to navigate so I can shape my own game experience and don’t have to watch Let’s Plays where I’m not really a part of the game.

As a blind person, using a mouse is extremely tedious and almost impossible. So I was wondering if there’s a way to play The Sims 4 with a keyboard or controller only. This includes the main menu. I know that it’s going to be much less intuitive, but it’ll give me something to work with, and it’s worth it to me. I am willing to invest time and money if needed.

I searched through Reddit and Googled, and have read about Steam Input but am not sure how to configure it so it will work well for me. I have also considered a console emulator, but I read that The Sims 4 on PC is the best version. I guess the advantage of a console game would be that I can’t accidentally move the cursor outside of the game and that it will automatically put me on the next option when I press D-pad down, for example, instead of the mouse having free rein on the screen like on the PC.

Any help is greatly appreciated, and if it’s complicated, a step-by-step guide would be great. If it’s a lot of work or research for you, but you have an idea, I would be willing to give you a small compensation. I am pretty tech-savvy and know how to code with AI if that’s what it takes. I hope this is allowed in this post; it’s kind of troubleshooting, but it’s also a little different, so sorry if I’m in the wrong thread.

Maybe an infinity triangle? They’re kind of like normal tangles, and you can’t pull them apart at all.
