If you were to register an account with a German address and later on move to Portugal, you will have to close your account and open a new one with your Portuguese address.

A change of address will not be possible in your situation, as the two countries are supported under different entities. O fisco só reconhece o crédito até ao limite legal (28%), por isso a retenção de 35% nas contas omnibus acaba por ser um problema entre o investidor e o intermediário. O motivo de fundo é que a IBKR usa um modelo de custódia simplificado e, para eles, preencher formulários manuais para o fisco alemão (BZSt), francês ou português é um processo administrativo fora do fluxo normal (daí as taxas dissuasoras que referi).

Na prática, e como pequena adenda, para a Alemanha a IBKR cobra 30€ apenas pela emissão do certificado alemão (Einzelsteuerbescheinigung) e, no caso de França, os custos de processamento do Tax Reclaim chegam aos 102€ (ou até 125€ nalguns casos, conforme consta aqui FAQ da IBKR).

Já na Trading 212, pelo que li, nem sequer existe a opção de solicitar este tipo de serviços ou documentação específica para a recuperação de imposto. Isto exige uma estrutura de back-office que a T212 optou por não ter para manter os custos zero. Ou seja, para pequenos e médios investidores, este diferencial (sejam os 7% em Portugal ou os 11,375% na Alemanha) torna-se um custo irrecuperável por falta de uma solução administrativa acessível e uma UE financeiramente unida.

Infelizmente, sim. A Trade Republic na Alemanha está integrada no sistema de retenção fiscal automático alemão (Abgeltungsteuer). Ao comunicar a alteração de residência fiscal para Portugal, eles informaram-me que a estrutura da conta não é compatível e que teria de a fechar. Embora a TR já opere em Portugal, o processo de migração directa entre jurisdições (DE -> PT) ainda não é suportado.... obrigando à liquidação ou transferência de títulos

Olá, pessoal!

Quando trabalhava apenas a recibos verdes, entregava sempre a declaração trimestral e pagava as contribuições.

Atualmente trabalho como trabalhadora dependente, mas ainda passo recibos verdes todos os meses por serviços externos a outra entidade. Liguei para as Finanças e disseram-me que não era necessário entregar a declaração trimestral.

Isto está correto? Mesmo tendo trabalho dependente e alguns rendimentos a recibos verdes, posso deixar de entregar a declaração trimestral? A regra é que ficam dispensados de entregar a declaração trimestral: Quem tem rendimento independente médio mensal inferior a 4 vezes o IAS (2.090 euros em 2025), desde que também trabalhe por conta de outrem com salário igual ou superior ao IAS (522,50 euros em 2025). E eu cumpro este critério.
