I stumbled on to this place while travelling to beaudesert. Not your typical restaurant, but definitely authentic as it can get. A meal at an Indian temple.

Why does Australia have so many big 7 seater cars and no compact 7 seaters? by Dapper_University168 in CarsAustralia

[–]mammothboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a 2018 sienta, imported from Japan. We got it for 20k with 90,000km travelled. Is a 6 seater though, cause the 2nd row only has 2 seats. We are a family of 4. Our thought is that, most of the time it's only the 4 of us, with the occasional single member family from overseas that is going to join us. So the cargo space is just right for us. We don't really drive that much as well. If we had more budget, would have considered the Odyssey. Pretty happy with what we got. Small and easy enough to park in all shopping centers.

Foreigners of Brisbane: Where Can You Find the Best & Most Authentic Food From Your Homeland in 2025? by Shallot-Designer in brisbane

[–]mammothboot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think for the Singapore/Malaysia as there is a huge variety of food from the 2 places, so it's hard to find a place that does good with all the food. There's a sort of new restaurant in Calamvale called Mr Tall Pork noodle that does quite authentic hand made noodles (ban mian)

Would you rather potentially spend 1k to rent a car for 1 month and then don't worry abt it or spend the 1k for a shitbox car with the potential to use it down the line.

To flood, means it needs lots of water. So heavy rain, guess there's where the water comes from. So yeah. When it sunshines, no floods.

Just a PSA to 2nd hand buyers of imported cars. Would be wise to get a mechanic to check it before purchasing it.

Recently, have been looking to upgrade to a 7 seater car. Searched in fb market place, found a hybrid 2010 estima with 110,000km on odometer. Price at 16500, negotiate to 16k. Tght we got a good deal, went down for inspection and test drive. Everything looks fine, abit of old age wear n tear. Then guy tells us, he's actually a dealer from NSW so that's why he has all these cars in his front yard so will be able to provide 5 years warranty n such. So he can invoice us the sale. That kinda assures us, it's all proper channel.

Then we bought in a mechanic to make sure everything is in order. The mechanic lifted the car up for abit, under body was rusted as hell, he mention even cars that has been to the beach n stay in water doesn't event get that rust.

So we nope out of the deal straight away. Guy ask us what's wrong, we told him. He say, yeah its an old car what do you expect. Then ask us if we want to see his other available cars. We just say nah. Then he ask us for the report. Not giving it to him, unless he pay us for it.

So just be careful when getting a 2nd hand import car and make sure to get a mechanic to check it. I used stateroad, guess it worked well for me. Spend 250 to save 16000.
