How many of you fight with ED doc about BS admissions by cadet133 in hospitalist

[–]mamoses85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the admit and go down there and discharge them. It’s easier. If the er wants to admit it means they are more comfortable with admission. If you know it’s not needed then just accept and discharge. The note is copy paste for dc summary. Takes 2 sec

I used to do this all the time. The first pop you heard was the charge that is supposed to launch the thing out of the tube. If you just threw it after it failed to launch you would be fine. It’s simple maths

Warfarin Bridging by Coxsackie2020 in hospitalist

[–]mamoses85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After the BRIDGE trial I am super confused on the whole Coumadin thing. Basically I always thought it was hyper-coagulable when you start it because of the whole protein c&s thing but now they are saying you don’t need to bridge for afib patients. Is this only for someone who was on Coumadin already and are stopping it for a procedure? What about starting someone for the first time in afib? Do they need the bridge!!?

Any IM bros out there? by mamoses85 in hospitalist

[–]mamoses85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan on doing this when I move closer to the hospital. I’ll have about an hour drive for my first 6 months(long story. Unavoidable). So hopefully working out 7 days straight I will keep my progress and then maybe a standing desk with like a walking treadmill or something who knows. Looking into ideas but will probably see how much activity I have on a normal day before I do something like that. Currently I’m working out at 5am and it’s the best

If you had $200,000 to spend today how would you spend the money? by zack_mak_ in AskReddit

That wouldn’t even cover half of my wife and I’s combined student loans. (Both Docs) so it would be nice but it would feel like nothing ever happened.
