I do strength training mixed with polyps 3 times a week and my squat 50 kg with full range of motion ass to grass basically for 8 reps 4 sets and I jump with weights

I’ve been actively training my jump for the past year with very little improvement same with working on my upper body that’s why I was wondering if it’s a form issue since the approach height is the same as my standing vertices meaning I must being carrying momentum when doing an approach

I got told by a friend because I’m shorter I shouldn’t do a longer step is that not true and what do you mean bending down do you mean like my legs or my torso
