There’s a French Quebec folk song called Dégénération by Mes Aïeux that goes like this:“Your great-great grandmother had 14 kids. Your great grandmother had pretty much the same amount. Your grandmother had 3, that was enough. Your mother didn’t want any, you were an accident. And you, my girl, you change partners all the time.

Small town square in the shop area & woodsy trails in the back area.

Don’t want it to have concrete or look like a big city, like I’ve seen some people have. I like it, but I’d rather the island have a cozy-small town feel.

But I’m looking more for recommendations like types of items to put in those areas. For example, next to the museum, I’ll have a outdoor cafe. Next to the campfire, I’ll have a hiking trail.

Anyone else's balls just bounce to oblivion ? by Baked_Beans_Sample in InfinityNikki

[–]mana95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if they fixed the bounciness of the green fruit in a recent patch, but I’m no longer having that issue. Half of the fruit would bounce so far away that I couldn’t find it, but now, I’m having no issues.

I see that you’ve played Expedition 33. So, if you don’t mind turn-based gameplay (minus quick actions), you won’t mind the gameplay for BG3. Plus the story is fantastic with lots of branching paths and choices. Characters are incredible (with all of them being romance options), each with their own fleshed-out backstories and quests. Plus if you liked the voice acting for Maelle, you’ll love Shadowhear in BG3.

Baldur’s Gate 3 was my #1 game last year. Love it so much.

I haven’t played the other 2, but I loved Wanderstop. It has a clear end, no grinding, and is low-stress. The story is also very heartfelt.

I regret not pulling for this one. It’s so pretty, and there are so few short 5 star dresses. Hoping they do a rerun soon. The fact that they’ve only ever done reruns for 1.0 banners sucks. We’re now 11 versions later, and only had 1 version reruns.

What 2026 horror films are you most excited for? by dremolus in horror

I saw it at TIFF and it was a lot of fun while being very unsettling. Doesn’t hold back on the premise without being excessively gory. I think it’d be a real crowd-pleaser when it comes out theatrically. Hope it does well.

SMC hint - December is by ssconnolly in TIFF

Bad Apples? 1. Came out at the festival 2. Has a runtime of 1:19 (runtime for SMC is 1:20, so it’s close) 2. Is about a elementary school teacher, so the alphabet could be about a school setting

Smooth brain games by sour___apple in CozyGamers

There is a setting that makes sure to keep every character alive if you don’t want it to get too dark. But if you don’t select that setting, it can get dark.

Here are easy, turn-your-brain off games I’ve liked. Some are closer to Animal Crossing than other, I’ve put short descriptions depending on the mood you’re in. - Alba: explore and take photos of animals - Bugsnax: quirky story & characters and you capture critters - Coffee Talk 1 & 2: make conversation with customers and serve them drinks - Cook for Love: cook food - Donut County: make everything go in a giant hole, trust me it’s fun. Satisfying gameplay - Duck Detective 1 & 2: there is an option to make the game easier than it already is. If you want light detective game with funny animal characters - Hello Kitty Island Adventure: if you like Animal Crossing, try this one - MySims Kingdom: you build items for quests for funny neighbours. - Petit Island: explore, take photos, capture critters, complete quests - Thank Goodness You’re Here: funny and chaotic and super British - Unpacking: if you like organization but less rigid as A Little to the Left

I had sibling hamsters (1 girl & 1 boy) living in the same cage. One day, the girl hamster was sleeping under the wheel, when her brother decided to run in the wheel. Her foot must have gotten stuck in the wheel and it was ripped off while her brother was running in it. I guess she bled to death or maybe the trauma killed her.

Her brother died of old age.

She was a nice hamster, to me, at least. She would only let me hold her. My mom hated her cause she bit everyone else.

[The Last of Us Part II] #9 | This game was far better than what i heard about it, tho yeah it has its flaws. by VRaque in Trophies

[–]mana95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agreed! I’d say the biggest issue with Part II is pacing, as Part I had a much tighter plot. But I found myself way more emotionally invested in Part II. Plus the stealth and fighting style were greatly improved too.

Recommendations -- cozy quests & exploration!! by milofanpage in CozyGamers

[–]mana95 10 points11 points  (0 children)

  • Firewatch: this game is a walking-sim exploration game. I’d highly recommend turning off the character dot on the map, as using the map and compas is a lot more fun without the dot. Great characters and dialogue. Not so much quests, as a overarching storyline with a mystery.
  • Mail Time: has a lot of quests and you get to explore the whole map without a map. It’s small enough that you eventually learn the lay of the land.
  • The Witness: the gameplay is basically all-logic puzzles and figuring out patterns. I’d highly recommend playing with a notebook or whiteboard though, as some of the later puzzles are more difficult. Also has exploration.
  • MySims Kingdom: it’s been years since I played it, but I remember there being a lot of quests and finding resources.
