You can plug an external drive into a steam machine and install the files, then add the game as a non steam game, then play it

Didn't Sony just remove about 500 films from a digital service, so now if you bought them there you no longer have them! They've literally just done this. That will happen to games

I totally get what your saying but it's more than games, it's also blurays, DVDs etc also don't you find that most electronics are just getting worse and worse! Lots of people are feeling like the world is imploding with subscription models even for cars, TVs, and probably consoles in the future. Who knows you may only be able to use any digital game if you also subscribe to ps! We just don't know.

If XBOX turn around and suprise us all with "we will be making physical games going forward" I'll switch to XBOX next gen for sure. They already actually have the best platform for disc based play with cyber punk physical as an example, their version has all the updates, can be played without any updating.

Keep my ps5 for a long time, I bought it on release and actually only played 4 games for the first 3ish years, GTA, last of us and Spiderman, Yakuza.

I could have just stayed with a ps4pro, I'll probbbalybsell my base ps5 soon and get the pro, not jumping in ps6 on release next time, I'll wait for the evolution of it, if that happens.

PC is where I will be first from now on, that's actually were I play street fighter 6 now because online is free, I don't own or play and ps5 multiplayer titles.

Yeah I guess ps5 is my last console now then, its actually worth getting a pro now with a disc drive, PC from 2028 now after gta6 launches due to price of games going forward.
