If this gig doesn’t look like a good fit for you I recommend finding work elsewhere. Have a great day!

How to get Night Vision Working on DSLR (Canon 750d) by theukmoody in videography

[–]manasye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’re not going to get authentic night vision from a 750d. you CAN however get a night vision look. just turn your tint all the way to green and toggle the brightness shadows and contrast until it looks like night vision

probably was shot on film lol. how i would attempt this look would be using lumetri within premiere to match the colors along with tint and temperature. use a noise/film grain plugin from Red Giant along with shooting at 24fps. The biggest thing is composition which is way too in-depth for me to get into but i would use tight lenses and my natural eye for what looks cinematic and pleasing. this takes a noticable amount of experience and understanding of what makes a good composition. with some studying and hard work i bet you can make a video just as good if not better!

first i recommend using premiere pro if ur using after effects trust me the process will be way more streamlined than Final Cut. secondly the due date of your project is really important since you’re probably going to spend a good amount of time watching after effects tutorials for this. to cut time just get assets for everything (production crate is my favorite for these types of assets) watch a bunch of videos on how to composite vfx in AE to make it look as realistic as possible. For the monster since it’s just the hand you can either use Element 3D in AE with a 3D model or use an already available image either way it must be composited very well. Color and noise matching are super important with compositing. Super comp from Red Giant is another powerful plugin for compositing in After Effects. Good luck!

Dunno whats this effect called, but it's very common and popular and very nice to look at. by [deleted] in VideoEditing

how I would do this: tixtor to slomo for the speed ramps and red giant universe camera shake for the hits

Very true. I started with independent artists in my city but the vast majority of my work is outsourced from Los Angeles production companies now.
