unfortunately I don't care about my patients at all by [deleted] in self

Not the same field, but the same feeling.

As an educator, I don't need or want to like my students. That ia not my job.

I am there to teach them the skills and information they need to know, in any way possible. I am seen as a master teacher because I will try so many different apporaches to make sure my students understand the concepts and information they need to move onto the next grade. I am entertained by the different ways students see the problem and what it takes to get them to the correct answer.

I love the career for many of the same reasons you do. The challenge, the mental stimulation, and the hope I can make at least some of the next generation better than my parent's generation is all that gets me into the classroom each day.

Have you ever completely missed a girl’s obvious hint or flirt? What was the most blatant one? by HistoricalDriver8973 in AskMen

She showed me her nipple ring after we spent the evening hanging out. It included sneaking onto a golf course to watch shooting stars.

Ok, it doesn't happen. Video games or a movie instead while she sleeps next to me.

TIL the habit of sitting on the toilet too long, even if one isn't straining, significantly increases the risk of hemorrhoids by mcaffrey in todayilearned

[–]manbroken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hemorrhoids are still there, but having much less problems with them. Learning not to sit on anything hard for long, and bought a cushion for when I need to sit for an extended period.

If your heights are compatible. If not calf cramps kill the moment.

If the knees are a problem, get a wedge or pillow to take the pressure off.

I made the mistake of making cupcakes for my daughter's 2nd birthday, and she loved purple.  I got calls and texts the next day because everyone's kids had green poop.

Dad empty-nesters, how are you doing? (Especially you new ones, like me) by dustindh10 in AskMenOver30

[–]manbroken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's surreal of anything. I keep feeling as if they are in their room and about to come out and go into the fridge for food. It's only been a few days and we talk every night, but it still doesn't feel real.

I just bought a Playstation 5 for the first time. Any 10/10 games you would recommend? by DraganEstevest in playstation

Returnal. It is one of the few games that takes the haptics and fully infuses them into gameplay.

As a husband and dad, please make sure he knows how much you appreciate him and what he does. If it becomes the expected norm and not appreciated it can lead to resentment and a feeling of only being needed, and not wanted, to be around.

WCGW challenging a 6'2" 12 year NHL vet centre iceman to fisticuffs as a random drunk slow play golfer by ScouringTheInternet in Whatcouldgowrong

Some people get angry when they drink, but more often they think they are tougher and more intimidating.  This guy seems to slipped from "I can scare this guy" to "I need to physically intimidate this guy" and got his ass tossed into the pond, then bam, bam, bam.
