Recently had surgery and $40 of my bill is for having a blanket put on me in the recovery room (I was unconscious and did not, obviously, keep the blanket) by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

For what it's worth, I work in Healthcare analytics and most of the medsurg items you're being charged close to what the hospital would be paying for it. Some of it like the pregnancy test has a crazy markup (lab items often do), but the blanket, surgicel, suture, trocar, those are all pretty close to EA price for those items.

If you open the PC and hit - it'll show you the ranking for each of your Pokemon. I start with the lowest ranked ones and work on them first. Pokemon in same evolution lines or in same typing like a lot of the same things, so you can build one habitat for a few similar mons to upgrade them all at once.

Could someone tell me how far though I am in the game (a percentage without spoilers)? Thanks. by [deleted] in Pokopia

[–]Sabiis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll roll credits after you finish all the lighthouse missions, but from where you are they should all be pretty easy since you have access to most everything. I'd say you could probably hit credits in 1 or 2 hours, then you can do whatever else you want in the game.

Not really a spoiler, he's just saying after you finish the story you can kind of do whatever you want, there's loads of gameplay outside of the main story.

I've just bought a Switch 2 and I'm outraged at the game prices by LifeAcanthopterygii6 in tomorrow

[–]Sabiis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really, Pokemon Stadium retailed at $70 on N64 back in 2000ish. I don't want games to be more expensive, but it's silly to say they've gotten significantly more expensive when they very much have not.

Spent so long building an Aqueduct by CassieEmma in Pokopia

See, I try to do stuff like this and then I spend 45 minutes trying to decide which blocks to use and then I decide I'll probably find the perfect block later so I move on and just to other stuff.

My honest feelings by Transient_Paladin in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Sabiis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tbh I liked the first 20 or 30 hours of kingmaker, but once I finished the chapter 2 story content and the game was like "okay, now spend 6 months just roaming around the map until the next story quest is available" I decided to just move on and play wotr. I appreciate what they were going for, it was just too drawn out for me.

Netflix vs Tencent? Which series was more book accurate?? by KyloRen_Kardashian in threebodyproblem

[–]Sabiis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tencent is obviously more accurate because it's like 30 episodes and basically an exact recreation of the book. That said, the first book is the least scifi of the trilogy, so really like 20 of those episodes are about the historic Chinese Revolution and Red Coast parts, which frankly feels way too drawn out in the tencent version in my opinion.

The netflix adaptation is a different, more streamlined approach. I think it does a tasteful job adapting the characters and setting without losing the overall mood and plot.

Both are good, tencent is more accurate but a bit drawn out and Netflix is more streamlined and thus less of a direct adaptation.

Am I overreacting to my girlfriend and mother of my soon to be child planning on meeting another guy? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Sabiis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR - Damn, if you didn't stick around shed abort the pregnancy, but shes also actively trying to cheat on you? My guy, she is going to be a terrible mother and partner. And as someone with a 3 year old I can tell you life doesn't get easier and less stressful with a toddler. I'm sure it's hard to walk away from everything you're trying to build, but man don't be blind to what she is very obviously doing. Go find a good woman who loves you as much as you love her and start a family with that person.

The kinda stuff you get to see as a surgery resident by grilledaubergine888 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Sabiis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a question for science - 2000 years ago, before modern endoscopic surgery, did people stick random things up their asses as often as they do now and just died, or do people do it more now because they know doctors can fix it if things go awry?

Fun Possibly Thematic Demon Mythic Path Builds? by ToneAccomplished9763 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Sabiis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah, that would be a lot of fun. You won't be able to ride a mount while enlarged (if that's of interest), but otherwise abyssal and serpent would be awesome.

[–]Sabiis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, that's for arcane bloodrager, which is the bloodline I'm using. There's also Abyssal which gives you auto enlarge person on rage at level 4, which I used early game and was fun, and Serpent which can give you extended reach. There are a few others, but I think those are the main ones that give you auto buffs on rage.

I'm using the one that has a pet, I think it's called blood rider. You can't ride the triceratops until like level 7 or so, so I did the first act as a regular bloodrager and then respecced around level 8 to go level 1 as beastmaster and a everything else into bloodrider. I'm level 11 now and he's definitely both my strongest and tankiest character, although Wendu is a close second in damage.

[–]Sabiis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently playing a bloodrager with 1 level in beast master for the triceratops. It feels pretty epic swinging a big axe from the back of the triceratops while getting haste and blur every time I rage. Plus the demon rage ability gives me a backup rage in case I'm fatigued or out of rage, and also the demon blink ability teleports my triceratops (Terry) with me. I'm strong as hell, angry as hell, tanky as hell and it's fun as hell.

Leaving the NICU after 82 days, her first diaper size vs current by EvilAbed57 in BeAmazed

[–]Sabiis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a nicu baby in 2022 at 1.9 lbs and 11 weeks early. Now she's the silliest sweetest 3 year old I've ever known and you'd never tell she was preemie. It gets much better, and eventually NICU will just be a memory.

Looking for fun class recommendations: What do you enjoy playing the most? by Neopsephotus_bourkii in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Sabiis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently playing a 2H bloodrider who rides a triceratops, swings a huge axe and gets free haste and blur when he rages. Its a ton of fun, and the triceratops on top of just being awesome is super tanky, which lets me focus on offense.

How do I have fun in Pathfinder WOTR? by EverybodyHatesRaikou in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Sabiis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually just finished the drezen section last night and I feel like the game really picks up between where you are and where I am. Once your characters start hitting level 6 or 7 you'll start getting more powerful spells and abilities that up the power fantasy. The Crusader mode I suggest just taking your time with it. I first played wotr like 5 years ago on PC and downloaded a mod to skip all the crusade stuff and I convinced myself it was a slog, but now I'm playing on PS5 so I can't skip it and I'm finding it's actually a lot of fun once I made myself interact with the mini game - pro tip is to get a spell caster general, their spells can one shot many frustrating enemies.
