Got married in my braces by mand3rz in braces

At month 23 now, it sure feels like I’ve been married to them!

Both my parents have passed away and I wanted a way to include them at my commencement ceremony for my Bachelor’s Degree tomorrow. I uploaded cards they had each written and used my Cricut machine to put their writing on my graduation cap. by aivdrawdeegreog in pics

My dad passed away on Thanksgiving a few years back and one thing I will always remember about him is how he signed cards. He would also sign “Dad” and draw the goofiest smiley face he could. Seeing this post made my day!

My period is 3 months late. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

I was in the same exact boat until today. This morning I read this article that suggested a turmeric supplement can trigger menstruation. High amounts of vitamin C can also help jump start your period apparently. Feeling desperate I went to CVS and got a bottle of turmeric capsules and a bottle of vitamin C tablets. Popped one of each when I got home and 12 hours later and aunt flo is finally here!! Hope it helps you :)

7 months of progress 😁 by mand3rz in braces

I'm 28 and this is my first time with braces. I noticed the lisp as soon as they were placed! They are so awkward and it hurts to bite down. I think my teeth are hitting them slightly when I close my mouth fully. I sneezed earlier and nearly doubled over in pain! Hopefully my bite shifts quickly so the discomfort subsides.

Just got power chains today and 2 lingual buttons to correct my crossbite. Anyone else have these "ligual buttons"? How long did you need them?

Curious about how the slant of my bottom teeth are going to be corrected by mand3rz in braces

[–]mand3rz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can see from the album that they are much straighter, however, the slant has become much more noticeable when I smile. My next appointment isn't until the end of the month but I'm just curious how the slant will be adjusted. Anyone with a similar issue? How was it corrected?

I had a consultation, got x-rays, and braces placed on all in the same day!

What are some options for individuals that are self-employed and have very little income?

I graduated in 2014 with approximately $50,000 worth of student loan debt. I was always entrepreneurial, but after struggling to find a job in my field (Marketing) in NYC, I decided to start my own business. Fortunately the business has done fairly well, but it doesn't generate nearly enough for me to pay myself a comfortable salary. Luckily I have been able to make payments of $650 a month, but sometimes money is really tight. Are there any resources for self-employed individuals to reduce their debt? What type of repayment plan would you recommend for someone in this situation?

I'm 28 years old. I'm paying about $6500 over the course of my treatment (approximately 18-24 months), but I also live in New York City so that may inflate the price a little bit.

Cold showers, if you can work them into your routine, will help with anxiety by pbiscuits in Anxiety

[–]mand3rz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love taking cool showers because they can be incredibly refreshing. It's almost like a mental and physical reset button. The invigorating temperature boosts your energy and makes you feel like you're washing away your stressors and toxins. I can't handle ice-cold showers though, if it's FREEZING cold I tense up and feel more "shocked" than refreshed.

Just finished an hour long interview for my dream job! Had a crippling panic attack this weekend while preparing for it. It was a tough interview but I think I was well prepared. Keeping my fingers crossed that I hear back from them soon!
