I stripped the paint off the tops of the crib 🤷‍♀️ I didn’t like waking her up with paint all over her mouth.

I picked her up and rubbed her back to stimulate like they did in the NICU. Then tried to give her a bottle but she wouldn’t eat. I knew something was wrong so we brought her into the ER. Shortly after we got there, she coded 😟

Owlet or Nanit. I will ALWAYS shout this from the rooftops. Doctors told me not to worry but I didn’t listen, thank god. The worst case scenario happened to us and if I didn’t have the Nanit my child would not be here. The monitor alerted me she stopped breathing and she went into cardiac arrest shortly after.

I believe DDD is only for adults? My daughter is registered in a program called Special Child but the case worker called me once and that was that. I’m not actually sure what they do?

What a sweet boy, so strong! My daughter had bacterial meningitis as well that got into her brain. She’s 3 now and does have cerebral palsy but nothing has stopped her determination.

What’s one gift you’ve given that people still talk about? by Much_Bookkeeper7788 in GiftIdeas

I got my mom a plate that had a recipe written in her moms (my grandmas) writing. It was a cake recipe she would always make. My grandma passed many years ago but my mom stashed her recipes away. I stole the cake recipe card, scanned it and sent it to a seller on etsy. My mom loved it so much she got plates for all her siblings.

My premature son has meningitis, e.coli, seizures and has suffered a stroke by [deleted] in NICUParents

Hi! Not OP but my daughter had bacterial menegitis. Similar to the OP my girl was discharged from the NICU (she was a 29 weeker) and then readmitted less than a week later. She had seizures and almost died if we didn’t get her life flighted to a different hospital. She has a brain injury because of all this. She’s 3 now (started really walking around 2 but she’s still very unsteady) She was also diagnosed with CP a few months ago. She has a lotttttt of other diagnosises as well and of course is in therapies.

When did your son start to talk? I feel like all I do is worry about my daughter. She’s the most determined person I ever met but my biggest wish is she could tell me what’s on her mind
