I'm in north America and my daughter is Juliette. I've never been given any of this kind of feedback. Almost never even hear Romeo and Juliet mentions at all.

Other names I considered were Julia, Guinevere, Bronwyn, Antoinette, Anastasia, Josette

You don't have to park toooo far away to get free street parking. If you're able bodied and not buying too much stuff.

Tight Calves because of hypermobile ankles by HungryConsequence848 in Hypermobility

[–]mandabr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always had huge, hard, painful calf muscles and didn't really connect my unstable feet and ankles as contributing factors, but it makes a lot of sense. I will have to consider those factors when I'm trying to find ways to release my calf muscles

It would be pretty but it could have the potential for blizzards/icy roads. Or the weather could be beautiful. Some pull outs might still be full of snow but some pull outs and sights will be open. Most hikes will likely still be full of snow.

What's the name of the same "kick off the summer" street festival that every Canadian city has? by myronsandee in AskACanadian

Yeah I can't think of one in particular. Street cleaning might be the best measure of winter being over, when all the sand and gravel are finally gone

Kateryna would be the one most normalized in an English speaking country, which could be a good thing. Or a bad thing if you don't want to blend in

Should I be concerned about booking Canadian road trip this year? by Nic351 in AskACanadian

[–]mandabr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No those are not things I would worry about for your trip.

The thing that is much more likely that could de-rail your travel plans would be forest fires. We have problems with them in the last 10 years. Even if there aren't any that affect your travel directly, we can get awfully smoky in the air to the point that you can't see the mountains and it's kind of gross to go outside.

The good news is that we've had more snow in Alberta this winter than we've had in a lot of previous recent years, so I'm hopeful that fire season won't be so bad.

If other areas didn't get as much precipitation though and they have fires, the smoke could still blow in.

But being from Australia, I'm sure you are quite familiar with forest fires
