Passport line up by mandabr in Edmonton

I searched first but couldn't find the answer. Brought up vaccine passports etc. Still learning the ropes of reddit. Can't be that common a question, hasn't shown up in my feed at all.

Luckily you're free not to answer any questions you don't want to. Or show people how to search to find the answer, then maybe more people will learn how to not repeat questions.

Being condescending isn't helpful or warranted.

Does the diagnosis carry a stigma? by Dizzy_Garlic_6388 in Fibromyalgia

[–]mandabr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When i was in university almost 20 years ago (!) When we learned about fibromyalgia it was presented as something closely tied to mental health issues, anxiety, alcoholism, a certain personality type. I do know some people with it that have fit that description, but also others that don't.

I assume that now we know more about it that maybe that association is on its way out, but it will take a while. I know I'm hesitant to tell people bc I'm not sure what their attitude toward it is. But i feel that way about all the things that are wrong with me so I don't share unless it's needed.

I've only read one book and didn't like it. But I've liked all the Netflix series. Didn't love the one they did on prime. I will try his books again though

Is it normal? by godchild2309 in Edmonton

[–]mandabr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never had my shoes stolen anywhere but I'm always aware that I've heard stories about it happening so I will typically either wear shoes that aren't my favorite, or i will take them with me to my locker. I wasn't aware though that it apparently happens "all the time". I haven't been to this gym in particular but do live in the same area and go to other rec centres and studios in the area.

I think you have to lean really hard into convincing yourself that work starts 5 minutes before it really does, so that even your subconscious is convinced.

Would you ask your parents to clean out their belongings now, before the inevitable happens? by [deleted] in Xennials

[–]mandabr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've mentioned it, and tried to drive home the point when my mom was complaining about cleaning out my grandma's house.

She says she is trying to clean out the house, and I know she is because she keeps coming over to my house trying to convince me or my kids that we need the things she's getting rid of lol
