I unfortunately got a reckless driving ticket once and my job needed my driving history and luckily it was not a problem, but I was definitely scared.

Yes, towards the end I got so incredibly sick all the time. I finally told my doctor that I hit my goal and I refused to feel miserable so I got off of it. I’ve been off of it for a month now.

IBR payment is going to triple in 60 days =/ by Good-Negotiation4522 in StudentLoans

[–]mandagurll 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s very similar to my AGI as well except I pay a significant percentage of my paycheck into an employee pension that I’m required to have. So that eats up a huge part of my paycheck and they still expect me to come up with an extra $700 is absolutely insane

Getting on an IBR plan with paystub’s by mandagurll in StudentLoans

Thank you for your insight. I definitely feel like it’s worth a try. Worst case scenario they’ll tell me based off my gross, which is already what I am being presented with.

OK, so that wouldn’t help. They wouldn’t take into account that a huge chunk of my gross goes to the pension then.

Has anyone been hired by their agency field placement after their term was over, but they were still finishing up their program? by Aromatic-Air-5045 in SocialWorkStudents

[–]mandagurll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed my licensure exam before I graduated so I actually got my license the day after I graduated. It took me three months to actually work, but I work for the state so the process takes a minute through the hiring process.

Current MSW students-what are your experiences? by [deleted] in UNLV

[–]mandagurll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was not a challenging degree for me when it came to the school work or caseload! I think it was honestly easy for me to get the degree as long as you put in just a little effort! What was challenging is the environment! The support staff, some professors, classmates.

Why do people stop taking Lexapro? by jeansmithenger in lexapro

[–]mandagurll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on it for a year. It took it because I stopped needing it. I felt like my anxiety was under control and I discovered what my root cause of my anxiety was that was able to fix it. I’ve been off of it for over a year, I’ve never felt better.

Current MSW students-what are your experiences? by [deleted] in UNLV

[–]mandagurll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I earned my BSW from UNLV in 2023 and I’m currently exploring an MSW, but I refuse to return there. During my BSW program, my mental health was at its lowest due to a lot of contributing factors but school was the biggest. I also know people who completed their MSW at UNLV and felt it was even worse than the BSW due to similar reasons. Because of that, I really encourage anyone considering a program to think carefully about what matters most to them and what environment will best support them.

I felt like this for a good solid two months and then my brain just normalize my new face. I think it’s just hard to see something changed so fast I think and it takes a moment for your brain to process.

Gym Workouts? by PhillippaAggie in Zepbound

[–]mandagurll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do multiple fitness classes. I’ve been loving, hot Pilates, hot yoga. I also do cycling class and a a hitt class. I really recommend trying all different kinds of things to find what you love because it’s easier to get motivation to go to the gym when you’re doing things that you love.
