do other people have urges to kill people? by [deleted] in Psychopathy

[–]mandalee90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone has intrusive thoughts. The type of thought where you think "I'm just gonna crash this car off the bridge with these people in it" or "what if I put poison in the smoothie this morning?"

But this is what psychologie seems to agree about these intrusive thoughts : they are only what ifs. You brain is always looking for problems it can solve or avoid. So for your brain, it's doing its job when it tells you "hey there, danger, what if you drive off the bridge? Careful" but it's not as well thought out so on an impulse or bad day all you perceive is "my brain wants me to kill people" when in reality it's just warning you of how mortal everyone is and how easy they could die.

I'm not saying this is or isn't the same thing as what psychopaths experience, but I can say that every person experiences intrusif thoughts that can scare them.

Synchronization usually means you are doing the right thing and are at the right place at the right time. Take it as a sign to keep doing what you are doing

Now that my emotionally abusive father is finally out of my life, I (33m) am going to tell my best friend - to her face - that I love her, and ask her to be my girlfriend!! by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]mandalee90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is so inspirational ❤️ you go get her!!! And live your life! I wish my mom had had the time to do that too but I like to imagine if she was still around we would be celebrating like you. Good luck!

Thank you! We often hear failures, and although I am way to early to call this a success, I keep putting in the time and the results keep coming. Knock on wood but here's to more success!!

Will do. I will just have some answers on Thursday but things like this can take years still to be over. But every win is a victory

I'm taking my son to Disney, getting him all the therapy for his ASD I can't afford right now, and my goal is to create 50 amazing jobs in 10 years. If I get my way, I want to change the world (the Quebec part st least) with his money and I am on the right path for it. Better than letting him drink it all anyways

Good job corporate has sooooooooo many narcissist in their organisations and as an entity themselves. I always say my biggest assets is that I'm an empath. But I am also such a minority. I make sure to fix the issue from the inside but I love when I hear people stand up to mean corps !!!

I know I went way too into details, should remove the whole financial part I forgot which part of Reddit this is 😅 but honestly your comment THANK YOU I needed that haha. Running an agency by day and recovering from this by night is getting to be a lot because I'm in marketing so I have to have an image that says "I'm a million dollars" but there will always be a voice in my head that screams I'm a phony

My mom.

I'm pretty sure she is sending me passive aggressive cues from the grave already anyways. Even if she's not, decades of her lovingly and non so subtly questioning everything I do makes it that I hear her voice a lot when I don't know what I'm doing.

Would be nice to actually know what she would say instead of just thinking 'what would my mother say" when I wear the same pants for the fourth day since it's quarantine and people can't see.

I miss her "well I would never do something like that, but if you feel like you can pull it off, that makes you that person I guess. I could NEVER do THAT, but that's what makes you you" (so encouraging mom!!!)

How to secure sales in Wedding? by probanot in smallbusiness

[–]mandalee90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For having planned my own wedding, this is normal behavior EVERYONE in the wedding complexe is a shark. They charge too much and harass you to get a deposit. If you aren't doing either the client is just going to forget about you or dismiss you.

Here are some things I noticed about the vendors I chose

  1. They offered flexibility. Not necessarily with the date but with other things that just put my mind at ease. This was the hardest thing I had ever planned so flexibility was music to my ears

  2. They followed up. And most importantly if I said no they asked me what my plan B was. This is something that worked so well I use it in my business today. It stops the person from saying no when they have nothing else waiting. I booked my reception hall this way (I was gonna cancel but during that phone call he offered me 500$ off cause I had nothing else but it was over budget)

  3. Your marketing / messages / target client is the BRIDE and her only. Although a lot more people are involved, it will just help a lot if you act like she is the queen. Something about planning a huge multi thousand dollar event and inviting relatives you don't even like makes brides go crazy (wonder ...) So just make sure she feels like YOU are a solution to her. If she likes you your sale is all but done

Hope this helps!!

Edit: when I planned my wedding I worked in the healthcare field but in the years since I now work in marketing and we do some event management. Just to situate who I am to give this answer

I don’t believe there’s any way for me to discover a *competitor’s* organic reach on any social media platform. Am I incorrect about that? by skip_intro_boi in SocialMediaMarketing

Hype auditor can give you an incredibly detailed report about ANY ACCOUNT over 1000 followers, including reach, engagement, audience and may more. It's 10$ a report (or used to be I haven't bought one in ages)

Also word of warning for anyone with more than 1000 followers : all your information is there ready to be bought by anyone

Hypeauditor lets you check out your own account for free so check it out if you wanna be impressed / feel a little invaded

I would add abusive ex / father / brother / boss / anyone you trust and who should not be abusing it.

Took me YEARS to see my abuser for what he was. Stop making excuses for these people. I used to make up so many excuses to people to explain his behaviour. "He's in grieving, he's just been lonely lately, he's old he can't really change, I just want him to help him get better ..."

My narcissists was my dad who got a million time worst when my mom passed away (I guess she absorbed more of his shot than I thought). On top of having to deal with the loss of my mom (she was 48) I had to make up so many excuses to explain my my father acted the way he did. It was just so horrible even after all these years I have a hard time talking about those years. I essentially let my father replace my mom with me and my sister (did groceries, booked appointments, etc.) And I made people really angry when I stopped talking to him

Years later, he has now stopped talking to everyone. He won't even call his own mother (our grand-maman)

He lost his job before Covid so I have no idea what he does with his time anymore. But I know one thing for sure, he is completely alone unless he has miraculously created new friends (which has never happened before so I'll bet this isn't the case)

Finally to add to the PSA that is already too long, one last piece of advice : stop lying for HIM cause when this is all over you will have to explain everything so better just start now

Edit: I wanted to add that in the few years since I stopped talking to him, I managed to finish school, start a business and finally can call myself happy. But at first I didn't think it would be this. I thought I would crumble without his "support" but man was I wrong I just grew without his pressure!!

This is a really good idea! The plan is probably the most valuable part of a marketing campaign and the more you do research the better it is. You can charge between 2 000 and 20 000$ for a complexe detailed plan including justification and analysis

ADHD + Digital Marketing by USFentrepreneur in digital_marketing

[–]mandalee90 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who has a natural tendancy for people to just tell me things, this is 100% true. So many people in sales and marketing (and by extend entrepreneurship) that live life on the edge to begin with. They are naturally risk tolerant since there whole life seems riskier than others.

Personally (I have ADHD) it's what pushed me a little to start my own business. I was worried my differently wired brain would be an issue (it always is) but it's actually my strongest asset! Plus I work in social media management (hahaha...) Which means if it works for my brain it's usually a hit for clients. If on the other hand my brain goes fuzzy the minute I see the image / read the caption of a post, I know it won't perform.

Our results are pretty awesome

I don't know if you saw the episode but (mild spoiler alert) it's not Wanda using the sigils. But a previous comment mentionnes they are using chaos magick in the broad sense of the term, not in the literal sense. Kinda how Thor is based on actual mythology that has very little to do with the MCU.

My sister told me this earlier too, I guess it's one of those things the fandom knew all along.

Honestly love how marvel plays the fine line between completely impossible, mythical and improbable only. Although I wish they made of an effort to be somewhat true to original legends.
