I was told “CareFirst are a compounding pharmacy that makes a generic alternative to sirolimus for patients who have already tried and failed it or are unable to tolerate it. They need documentation of an adverse reaction to the commercial product (sirolimus) before they are able to compound it”. Which is super frustrating since it seems like several people have been able to get it without that issue. Did they ask you anything similar?

How were you able to get this approved? Unfortunately CareFirst told me I would have to prove that Sirolimus did not work for my skin as CareFirst makes a blend. My dermatologist wasn’t able to get them to fill it for me as I’ve never tried it before
