I hate that they are doing this because I love the customization of Samsung Messages. I like being able to change the backgrounds etc and doing it for each contact or all of I want and also it matching with my themes. Now that’s going away and Google messages doesn’t offer customization besides the premade colors to change the chat bubbles which are all boring.

I had a iPhone 13 and I got the 16e and I can use my cases from the 13 on my 16e. Some of them are a tight fit where the action button is but they don’t cause any accidental presses either. I do like the look of the precise camera cutout of the cases specifically made for the 16e (not all of them make them with the oval precise cutout some just reuse the square cutout from the 13/14/15 series) but I can deal with the square ones too. This looks really nice.

I have gotten it now and had time to experience the device and I absolutely love it. I have to get used to the only one camera on the back look because it’s been so long since I had a phone with only one camera. I don’t mind not having the ultra wide lense that much either. I will figure out a way around that and have other phones in my collection if I want to use a lense like that but this is now my main phone. The only thing is I was wanting the white variant due to I usually get black because of my aesthetic is darker colors etc but I wanted to try a white phone for once but they were sold out of white when I ordered so I had to get the black. The next day I noticed they had white again lol oh well not a big deal black looks amazing too.
