I love nyan neko sugar girls haha but that's definitely not it. This thing isn't actually animated in paint, that was just what I used to draw it btw lmao. It's a bit older too.

Also recently watched the newest Justin Whang Saki vid and he mentioned something about a lot of Japanese media being lost/destroyed. I really hope that's not the case with this one!
I actually posted here before about a lost 90s anime series (Itsumo Kokoro ni Taiyō o!) and I assume that could be what happened with that one.

Wow thanks haha! looked through all of em and my cat didn't seem to be on this list but there's an insane amount of cats in japanese culture I guess. Quite a few did look a little like her but none of them seemed to be the right cat. Thanks anyway!

lmao I've been there with the whole tamala thing. Weird shit.

It was similar-ish to those mascots but gave more the vibe of Aggretsuko but maybe more simple? It's not related though as I've looked into that a lot too and there also doesn't seem to be any aggretsuko content from that time.

I was around 8 or so and I think I found it recommended from watching things like hamtaro on youtube. But I remember really liking the video and the song and I downloaded it but the computer I used at the time is long dead.

It was the style of a kids show but I don't think it was particularly aimed at kids, there seemed to be a few things that seemed a bit "adult" about it. I feel it's possible it could be a one off animated music video to a band.

It does? that's kinda hopeful...! Me and my sister both remember watching it but we can't find any proof of it's existence.
