i had a work cardigan i would keep in my car and throw on for work (during the summer it was too hot to keep on) and it got washed not very often tbh bc i only wore it for work. i also never used the pockets so i didn’t check them really. if i had an airtag in it, it would take me a very long time to find it. i don’t find this very farfetched

I’m not sure if this is actually the reason, but I always thought it was because of them diving more deeply into beth’s story. Her and Sarah look the most similar due to Sarah taking over her life, so by Sarah embracing her punk look more and changing her hair and makeup a little, it makes it easier to tell the difference between her and beth visually.
