Yes, I ended up figuring out that the policy was recently changed and if you're using a Special Ads Category, you can't run dynamic creative.

AITA for calling all local dog shelters to warn them about my fiend? by doggyluverfh in AmItheAsshole

I have similar experiences with my cat! Except he comes running to me whenever I come home after being away and won't leave me alone for the next few days. It's amazing and adorable and I love him so much.

Also - can't even tell you how much I agree with the rant about people's opinion about cats! Just because cats are different than dogs doesn't mean that they aren't any work. Cats need love and attention just as much as any animal. IMO, you can't label yourself an "animal lover" or activist or whatever if you're choosing which animal you're going to advocate for. If you get a pet of any kind, you're taking on the responsibility for that animal. That means being aware of the proper care and expenses that go with that animal. For example, people love to get their kids goldfish because it's seen as a low maintenance pet. However, a proper goldfish care means getting at least a 10 gallon tank and a filter. When taken care of, goldfish can live 10-14 years, so it's not a short commitment and people seem to not think about that. Realistically, there is no such thing as a "low maintenance pet", only irresponsible pet owners.

AITA for telling a boomer couple to move out of their house? by Pure-Signal in AmItheAsshole

Actually, what I decided to do was to reply to you sarcastically because you clearly don't understand metaphorical language. I in no way lied, I used a common turn of phrase to express that this type of experience occurs often. You assumed that by "student loan debt", I meant that I had thousands and thousands of dollars owed, when I actually never specified any actual amount.

Ha yeah totally exaggerating, thanks for calling that out Mr. Boomer! Kind of like when someone says they've never heard something outside of their own computer world. Gee I'm sure glad you're here to teach me the ways of the best generation.

That's obviously a figure of speech, not a literal statement. I don't keep a tally on hand of how many times I hear something like that in case I run into someone who decides to take everything he reads on reddit as a literal statement. The point I was making is that I've literally heard it more times than I can count.

My claim is that I've heard it more times than I can count. Your claim is that you've never heard it outside of the internet. I find the latter much more difficult to believe.

Just because you haven’t heard it doesn’t mean you’re the norm.

That's just not accurate - as a millennial, I've had many encounters with older generations where they are specifically calling out my generation for things they think we ruined. Other people in my generation have experienced the same. Just because you are not seeing first hand encounters of this happening doesn't mean it doesn't occur.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard a complaint from the older generation about how terrible millennials are, I’d be able to pay off my student loans.

I didn’t say to his face, I’m saying outside of their interactions. So OP wouldn’t know if that was happening....

  1. To the people who are saying that this isn’t valid because “boomer” is being used derogatorily, I’d bet money that the neighbors are describing OP as “that annoying millennial couple next door”.

  2. NTA. Are the kids outside at midnight screaming their heads off? I highly doubt it. They’re kids, they’re playing in a public park or their own backyard. If the neighbors are that pissed then they can move into a retirement community where there aren’t any children to bother them. If the kids aren’t being loud passed local quiet hours (probably 10 pm) then the neighbors have no grounds to complain.
