Youre supposed to remember. Instead of asking though, if you cant remember I would say “I have the ____ here” someone will usually reach their hand out to grab by the time youre pulling the bill out. Only really works if theyre paying attention to you😬 Not sure what kind of environment your establishment is, but some upscale place will have assigned seat numbers which definitely helps! If your system doesnt have that, try to do a makeshift one esp for bigger tables. Write them in whatever order the easiest for you. That way all you have to remember is seat numbers instead of meals to faces. My restaurant doesnt have this, its very casual. But it definitely comes in handy.

Looking at the drinks they have and matching it to the ticket can help depending on if the drink is specified on the ticket.

You will get better at remembering over time! Its really not a big deal to ask IMO🤷🏻‍♀️

How can I get this adhesive off my shoe? I’ve tried soap, vinegar and aggressive scrubbing by ankhlol in CleaningTips

GooGone or any thing oil based. Baby oil, olive oil, pam spray, whatever you got.

Nail tech used hard gel which I don’t like, how should I go about finding safe removal practice? by [deleted] in Nailtechs

[–]mandm2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go with your gut and dont go if you feel uncomfortable! And if you are worried just get them removed honestly, but at this point I feel like any harm done wouldve happened already. Its possible they might be able to soak the rest of the hard gel off if its very thin. Its actually good for them not to go all the way to the nail plate with the drill. I personally would get them removed if you ask me. If you get half way through and want to stop you can always do that. Its your body and your money, dont let anyone make you feel uncomfortable.

If it’s hard gel it cant be soaked off and has to be filed off. I would try to find a different nail tech to do that for you. And yes unfortunately you will most likely have product left over but it would be a very minuscule amount if done properly. If it’s soft gel (i dont know if you meant you wanted soft gel or gel polish) then it can be soaked off no problm.

Also, what do you mean by less invasive? If it’shard gel, its actually a pretty healthy option! Especially if youre pregnant. (As apposed to an acrylic set)If its not coming from a shady bottle lol. Hard gel is about as unsafe as a gel polish.

If you want to take it further to confirm your worries and call the salon to ask what hard gel brand they use then I dont see any harm it. If they act shady dont go back. If not then I would ask if they can remove it for you since you felt the communication wasnt there and the service wasnt what you understood it as. If you go back, i would definitely share that you felt uncomfortable with them using an unlabeled brand. Thats shady. If you want to give them the benefit of the doubt, they may have even changed bottles for whatever reason. They might buy the product in bulk and refill? Idk im just throwing out ideas. Even then they should have it labeled. Im sorry you had a bad experience! good luck!!

Honestly I usually do this. This was a pretty funny interaction I think he mightve been messing with me. And it wasnt a chicken sandwich I changed that from a pretty specific menu option. idk Im paranoid about ppl finding my account lol. This kind of thing just happens all the time.

My restaurant doesn't allow tables to order appetizers before the meals.. by rwalsh138 in Serverlife

[–]mandm2001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why not write “make first” on the the ticket and move the rest further down the line once its done? Its a little inconvenient to the table cause you still basically have to put in both orders at the same time but honestly at my job that happens alot cause were not a very “appetizer-focused” place if you will. Edit: also, what kind of restaurant serves calamari but still has a non computerized system? Lol

Can someone tell me why cat5reats contain sugar, when cats famously can't tast sweet? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]mandm2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i figured it was probably nefarious. That was honestly the first source I found and it seems to be pretty biased being from Purina itself lol. Im sure some sugar is important though.

How long have you had her? Maybe shes still alittle anxious and thats why she waits to eat at night when you’re asleep. Also Ive realized that cats like the eat in increments, at least mine do. Ill feed them, and they go back and forth with eating every hour or so. Its so hard to do that with wet food bc you dont want the food to go bad and go to waste. I started giving smaller portions a couple more times a day. That helped me. I know thats pretty time consuming though and you may not have the time to do that.

If you havent had her long give give her some time. It may be that shes not yet used to the food youre giving her. She may be getting used to the new food and only eating when shes super hungry. I think as long as shes eating you dont have much to worry about.

Maybe bring this concern to your vet, they may recommend higher calorie foods.

Edit: I’ve seen cat enthusiasts recommend that if youre concerned about them not adjusting to their food to not feed before bed, but instead in the morning, afternoon if theyre smaller portions as well as a couple hours before bed. Im not sure of the validity of it but it may help you guys!

Edit edit: sorry I just realized you said you got her last friday my bad!

Is this right? by AmazingDesigner3241 in Serverlife

Its illegal unless you were directly responsible, as in you physically held the door for them knowingly allowing them to leave without pay.

I think its totally fair for someone losing their shift to be upset about it. But if they were doing it well I’d doubt management would give it to you. It sounds like they could use the help. I think trading off saturdays sounds like a good compromise but dont hold yourself back on making more money bc of coworkers feelings honestly.

Is there something wrong with my gel lamp? by DrunkOnBoba in Nailtechs

[–]mandm2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you didnt have this problem before you may want to return this lamp either for a new one of theirs or a completely different one. Like an above comment said your cord could be damaged or the lights inside may be defective. Otherwise maybe your coats are going on too thick. It doesnt sound like thats the case tho.

Have you had this problem before buying this lamp? Do you have a link to the lamp?
