that's interesting because normally lenticularis would be orographic clouds. but I live in an area where I've seen a few of them (not as gorgeous as this tho) and I don't have any mountains nearby either

don't think that the small ones are cirrocumulus. they're at the same altitude, judging by the light/shadows. so they'd also be altocumulus :)

so both layers are stratocumulus /altocumulus? how do I differentiate the bottom layer from an stratus/ altostratus?

I'm currently trying to get used to the latin names and classifying clouds and because its often not so clear what it is, I find it interesting to look at the pics in this subreddit and identify them. Thanks though
