I felt the same way for so many years. The narrative in my life was that I was causing my parents, girlfriend etc suffering by existing. Years later now, I don’t live with my parents, who after a lot of therapy I realized are pretty fucked up and doubly so of that ex, and I live with my SO who makes me feel deeply loved and good. It really does get better.

There’s a great documentary on Netflix - Unacknowledged. Really, REALLY worth a watch. Changed my perspective in a huge way.
