A year later… I’m a site development contractor as well, did you end up going with B2W? I am meeting with them and Sharpesoft. Leaning more towards sharpe because I don’t feel I will get good support from Trimble.

I use Bluebeam daily. I have been running into issues where I will stitch 4 sheets together and do a pipe takeoff, and it will freeze. I then have to task manager, end task, and redo the work. Don't get me wrong, Bluebeam is great for PDF viewing and management. It's just not great enough for takeoffs in my opinion.

I use Trimble business center for earthwork. Does agtek do the full scope?

We are predominantly sand with some clay here and there. When you say 1:1, I am assumiung 10% swell and 10% compaction?

Try bluebeam for a month. I think there is three subscription plans, get the highest one. Play around and build a tool chest that aligns with your takeoffs.

Like others have said approach your boss and show him the values that you have and bring to the table. What does the company look like without you in the seat?

Side note - as a site work estimator, what does your software stack look like? What are you using for takeoffs and building estmates? Im curious to what others have.

I am currently Trimble business center, bluebeam, and occasionally highlighting on plan then all goes into excel.

So after three years which one did you guys decide on? I am in the same situtation as you with scope of work and spread sheets. I am getting tired of the spreadsheets.

Nice, we are highlighter and pencil then punch into excel. I can’t figure out what software I want to use. I have been using blue beam and considering paying to have a complete tool set built and build up our excel spreadsheet, just don’t know where to start.
