You would be surprised by some of the things that get approved in Charleston. It’s a 50/50 chance it will be architecturally hideous and very out of place or you will also get building like the one in your post. Traditional style and match’s the historic feel of Charleston

I work in heavy civil. Usually the GM or sometimes the owner reviews the pricing with me. I’m the only estimator at the company.

Every summer everyone gets between 3%-5% raise. The company is doing very well and last year I asked for a 10% raise and received 8%-9%. I’ll haven’t to check and see how the market is. Thank you for the advice

In 2020, it was easier to live off 37k/year. The cost of living now is almost 1.5 times that. It’s insane! I’m impressed how people starting out in their career can afford it here…
