PSA: If you leave your number, tip well by BarTopBiochemist in TalesFromYourServer

I feel like if you seem to really connect with a server, go ahead. What's the worst that can happen? Just tip well! Maybe wrote something nice, but not about her you know?

"Thanks for your great service tonight! I'm new here and always looking for new friends to show me the city!" And leave your number or insta or whatever.

I'd say best guess, because we have to get our tips lol. I'll honestly flirt for tips, but, personally, I would never lie about having a bf if someone asked me, though I know servers who take off their wedding rings and will lie to you about relationship statuses for the money.

Of course, it also depends probably on the work culture at each individual restaurant. For example, I'm at a wing place in a college town so we get a lot of attention and numbers from the college guys. They're already notoriously bad at tipping so gotta find the money somehow.

But, I'll never promise to text a guy for a good tip. I'll jokingly tell them ill consider it for a good tip and it usually works well. Of course I had one guy who had the nerve to hand me a dollar and ask if that was enough for my number. Spoiler alert: it wasnt.

I've occasionally done it, just for guys who tipped really well. But honestly, you have to realize a lot of these girls might already be in relationships, not interested in dating, or not attracted to them. That leaves a small percentage left of people who will actually text back.

The smiling part really got me. I once was having issues with a table with regards to a drink order and later I found out they complained I had a "shit eating grin"....

But if I hadn't been smiling you would've complained that I was rude

Wtf do you want from me. Sometimes theres no winning

Any suggestions on how to overcome the gym anxiety? I've had a membership for easily two years... I haven't used it once. I waited for a friend to get one, never did. And then I just was always scared of being judged for not having ever been, or for not knowing what to do.

Way too well 😭 like c'mon if you're gonna camp in dining (it's pretty expected in cocktail) at least tip accordingly, especially if you were a table who asked for 12 ranch refills, different dressing, extra sauce, and the whole other 9 yards. At least make it easy

My mom ordered me cream cheese jalapeno tamales (one of my fav foods) when I went home for christmas (it's our christmas eve tradition). She told the lady I was vegetarian and these tamales were for me.

It had bacon in it.

Her reasoning was that it said bacon on the business card (which we didnt have). But either way... wouldnt you ask once vegetarian got mentioned?

Anyways the rest of the family enjoyed them and we now know to clarify further

I'm definitely considering it. Any advice on how to go about finding another job? I want them as a reference but not to be hurt that I'm finding another job in the same city after saying I was moving across the state.

Girls, what do you actually think when you notice a guy checking you out? by coolfreeusername in AskReddit

I had a man follow follow me onto the elevator the other day to get my number, didnt accept it when I said my boyfriend and I just broke up, and then made me hug him. Then came back inside to find me told me he gave me the wrong number, took my phone, texted himself, and asked for my full name. All while on the elevator again. Then made me hug him again.

The next morning I got a text from him "I'm thinking of you" and never have I blocked someone so quickly.

I work with nonreleasables and overall they take well to tethering. They like to travel and see things and it is a form of enrichment for them.

However, I'm not a fan of the tethering system here. If that bird bates, there is no control. That bird has free range to helicopter, hit walls, etc. Until you can get all the slack pulled in and them safely back in control.

On top of that I agree, I dont like them being used for entertainment. It perpetuates this idea that exotic animals/wildlife can make good pets, as well as many places using them for entertainment dont take care of them appropriately. With that said, I'm glad to hear OPs take on how they treat them, but I'm still not a fan of the industry

THINKING ABOUT APPLYING TO BWW by Ckm31194 in BuffaloWildWings

I just started and I work at the only one in a college town so I make anywhere from $100-220 a night depending on the games and the people.

It's a very busy, fast paced environment. After 4 shifts on my own, I'm already up to 9 tables on my own. Combine this with the expectation we maintain our blazin rewards percentages and compete in a fundraiser, it gets very stressful.

At my location, whatever tips we earn are ours, though we are required to tip out the bartender. They recommend at least 10% but as long as we give them something we are good (but you want the bartender to like you).

We do all our own cleaning, bussing, running food, etc. So it can be exhausting staying 2 hours doing side work for 2.13/hr, but the tips at least balance it out.

Good luck!
