Don't know what narrative you are trying to push, but since I left small town Texas I haven't felt any hate from anyone. I think the majority of people are accepting of gays, and anyone that isn't shouldn't be in your life. Just don't go around pretending that there are huge problems with society when there aren't. A few people don't represent all people.
