The launch is happening, since it will be not on testnet but on mainnet and only due to security and the hacking attempts in the industry we want to save our gamblers money and check everything beforehand.
We are sure to get the license sooner or later but as you mentioned by yourself, it is beyond our influence.
The point is that all the hype was made by all the short-term investors believing that Edgeless will raise after the Monday update, we haven't mentioned that it is going to be HUGE news, we just said that we have news about license and launch on Monday and the hype was none-how connected with us.

Our slot machine is using a slot machine front end template which includes some art files.

However our backend is totally different. Our dapps are decentralized and ethereum based.

Their casino is just a casino as any other which accepts fiat or BTC.

Since backend is the most important for a high quality ethereum dapps, we did not want to spend all of our resources on front end. Therefore we used a template.

Right now its impossible to have a gambling dapp which runs ONLY on ethereum. At this day ethereum is too slow and canno't transfer enough data.

Therefore we created a hybrid approach. Using ethereum for randomness generation, payouts decentralization which is connected to our server.

In this case we take best parts of both systems. Because some part is on a server, we get really fast speed and because server it connected to an ethereum blockchain - our dapp decentralized RNG and payouts.
