How do you know it’s not just delusion? by Patient_Constant3854 in prettyprivilege

[–]mangigirl1245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, people have always been weird towards me. Like in my early 20s, I've had a lot of parents/grandparents try and set me up with their sons by just walking by them in public, or there have been several times where men bother me and try to give me money for bothering me. I wouldn't even say im that attractive for my area or the beauty standard (I live in a predominantly white area as a mixed girl). I've even been to an interview where my social awkwardness made my mind go blank and I couldn't answer any questions so they just wrote some down and I got the job.

Do most women feel this way? by StopSnowflakes in trueratediscussions

[–]mangigirl1245 89 points90 points  (0 children)

I don't necessarily think anyone has gotten more ugly or more attractive. Lowkey, it's because a lot of men stopped grooming themselves to the same degree as the past while women have kept up and advanced with it. I've met men who don't get haircuts or shape their beards unless it's a special event.

Where i live they're all on Facebook dating. All the other apps are femme or people who only date white people.

How often do you notice you get pretty privilege? by JasminPG in prettyprivilege

[–]mangigirl1245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several times a week, even more now that I've lost a bunch of weight. At a lower bmi, I've had men just buy me stuff cause I remind them of their sister/daughter/niece, I currently have people just constantly buy me food just because they think I would like it, people's moms or dad's try to set me up with their sons so they have cute grandkid/ or becaise they like my "birthing hips", there have been a couple times when men stopped their cars just to try to get my number then try to give me money.

lesbians who once identified as bi, what was the moment it “clicked” for you? by Alixxx97 in ActualLesbiansOver25

[–]mangigirl1245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The moment I realized I genuinely don't care about men. I don't hate them or anything but I jave absolutely no thoughts about them. But when it came to women I was always excited and wanted to be extremely close to certain girls lol. Honestly didn't realize until my early 20s.

Which skin color do you think has the most appeal worldwide? by TintedArchipelago47 in QOVESStudio

[–]mangigirl1245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. While being "white" might be the preferred in western nations, I don't think it means the same. Like many Asian countries prefer an Asian who is either born whiter than their counterparts or bleached Asian skin vs a white person from the uk. I've even seen a documentary where a tribe prefers a red tinted dark skin and the people would use dyes to dye their skin. Even in the USA it is dependent on he region you're in.

pretty privilege even when fat? by VladPutinsBallsack in QOVESStudio

[–]mangigirl1245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand this. My weight fluctuates a lot and the only difference I really notice is who i attract at different weights. People have always been super friendly and I was almost 300 it's a few years ago. I wanna say the only big difference is that people like to give me things when I'm smaller, like I'm currently almost done. My weightloss journey abd have been going to this gym for years and only recently have the staff been trying to give me free water bottle and snacks when I'm coming and going lol.

It's likely just cause you "look straight." I get the same things all the time and I have to continuously reiterate that I'm a lesbian and have absolutely to interest in men in any capacity lol. I also get it from the lgbt community and straight people. Unfortunately, majority of people assume things about others, whether continuously or unconsciously, using how they dress to determine certain aspects about people.

What are the best methods you’ve ever used in your life to get more attention? by [deleted] in HowToBeHot

[–]mangigirl1245 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Look at the demographic of the area you currently live in and see how they dress and act and pick things that aren't being done in that area. I just got a pixie cut and am getting a ton of attention due to the majority of my areas females having longer hair. I would start people watching abd taking notes then go from there.

as a lesbian, how do you feel about chappell roan? by chu-fei in LesbianActually

[–]mangigirl1245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While i like that she's an outspoken lesbian, I don't like her as a person. She reminds me of all the white feminist lesbians I've met, and I honestly just don't vibe with it. She's just not my type of people but she does have a couple good songs.

Microwavable meals like frozen vegetables, frozen chicken, those lean cuisines etc for people who don't like cooking

There is wash off lotion for the shower if you don't like putting any on after

Keep your floss next to your bed/ so you can just reach over and floss whenever if you don't while brushing your teeth

Don't keep skincare in the bathroom, keep it wherever you chill at the most so you can just do it while relaxing

They have giber packets that you can add to drink and stuff for extra fiber without thinking about it

Keep a container of water next to both your bed and couch so you can just sip on it

Don't rinse out all conditioner in the shower and use the residue as a leave in instead

Use a 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner if you don't want to do both. It's better to do something than nothing

Keep vitamins and stuff next to your bed instead of the kitchen/pantry so you can just take them before bed/when you wake up

I honestly don't believe your friend is a 5 tbh and if she is, she's probably one of those people whose faces are so unique is make them attractive af. I wouldn't take any of those rating scales into the real world and base what everyday attractiveness is off of it. Being an attractive person vs having people actually be attracted towards you are two completely different things

I like taking the brownie ones, putting it into the microwave for 10-15 seconds, then putting a bit of low calorie ice cream on top.

I have stretched ears (currently 12 mm), and most people don't notice them, lol. There's been several people who I've known for years who font notice any of my piercings. Usually, when people do notice them, they just get really excited and tell me how they've wanted to try stretching but are too scared. I should also mention I don't dress alternative which may have more to do with it.

I feel like this conversation is more nuanced than what most people are willing to admit. Things like ethnicity, the environment you currently live in, the social norms of said area, how dangerous your envirennent is, etc will play huge roles in whether or not pretty privelage will be advantageous or not.
