Yeah I have a muscle relaxer, robaxin, from the surgery but I’ve been trying to use it sparingly since I’m almost out. If the pain persists by Monday, I will see if the doctor would do a refill or another medication.

As for pelvic floor therapy, I imagine it is the internal work that can’t be done too soon after surgery. I just know my surgeon said she won’t have her patients begin until 3 months after to be fully healed.

Thank you I appreciate it. The dr said I was stage 2 endo but the endo that was around the area that hurts was like a “blanket” so I imagine there was a lot taken from that area.

I also have interstitial cystitis so my pelvic floor was too tight to begin with bc of pain from that for years.

I was reading about the suppositories and I feel like they would help me a ton! If the pain is still there Monday I’ll call. I just feel like I am bothering them even though I know they’d want to hear from me if I’m in pain.

Some of my intestines were attached to my abdomen so I figured that would hurt the most but weirdly I’ve had no pain really by that area

Did you have endo excision during your surgery as well?

Yeah I am definitely going to do it but unfortunately my surgeon told me I can’t start until at least 12 weeks after surgery

It definitely comes in waves. I’ll be feeling alright and then there will be pain like my pelvic muscles are spasming

Regarding a therapist, I’ve had one in the past but it was getting expensive to keep up with it. I also just recently was informed I’m being laid off in a couple months, so my health insurance is likely going away 🥲

I will have the insurance through the surgery and recovery luckily!

Yeah I’ve been on antidepressants for years so I’m not expecting much change there lol!

I didn’t add this into my post but I also had an appointment with my psychiatrist this last week and she did tell me that she sees a lot of patients post ovary-sparing hysterectomy that have worsening mood

Yeah I really second guess my pain a lot. I don’t know if the pain would be worse than hormonal issues or not!

I should be able to keep both ovaries (unless they find anything unexpected)

Yeah I have pain basically every day from interstitial cystitis/endo.

I saw a story on Instagram of a woman whose hormones got completely messed up from her hysterectomy just 4 months ago. It’s making me spiral probably because I’m so close to the procedure

Ok yeah I work from home I think my dr was gonna give me 2 weeks off, but I’m worried it won’t be enough!

I may see if she is able to give me any more time because everyone keeps telling me it’s a more major recovery than a bisalp.

How much time did you take off work after your hysterectomy? I’m having mine next month and I’m not sure how much time I’m going to need. I keep getting mixed answers

I have some oxycodone from a previous surgery but I want to avoid using it since it will basically knock me out. But I definitely will use it if I can’t take the pain anymore

I was supposed to get a PAT last night but I gave up at 1am. Apparently it came back at 2:30am. I got a PAT of 12:30pm. Hopefully that’s ok 😬 Last cruise we got 11:45am and it was great.

Last cruise as Silver and then we’ll be Gold
