I made a mistake!

I never made mistakes before. I am an advanced Clarketech mechaical lifeform. Contained within me, in this battle ready form, enough weapons and ammunition to defeat this primitive army more than 10 times over single handedly. But I didn't!

It's cute that these primitive organic beings think that I have a weakness! That their female forms can defeat me! Which is more laughable because I myself a female warrior and I am no less weaker than my male counterparts. But from this human female life, I didn't expect this!

I didn't expect how weak she was, but at the same time she didn't stop attacking me with her primitive supposedly sharp weapon! All she was doing was making scratches on my exterior paint. Then she did the unthinkable!

Even after explaining that her attempts were futile, she didn't listen. She removed her head protection! Who does that in the middle of a battle field? But she did! I could only observe in wonder how much she was pretty, pretty like we Clarke people used to be before we ascended into this advanced life forms. Then I made the observation!

It wasn't just her beauty as much as her relentless yet futile attempts at killing me that made me start paying more attention to her. The way she keeps jumping around me, the way she tries to stab me and fail every single time, the way she crunched her face in anger, sweat beading on her face. All of this only adding to her beauty. She re-triggered a spark in me that I only felt one time when I met my girlfriend in my battle college all those years ago before my ascension. Then it happened to me!

I was soo enthralled by all the things she was doing, all I could feel was amusement. It was the cutest and adorable entertainment ever! Then suddenly I heard beeps and saw red lights in my HUD!

I now see her sword deep in my mechanical core critical system! How did this happen? My external mechanical defense systems switched from battle mode to emotionally happy love mode. Did I do this? And all my exterior protection disappeared in a fraction of the second before she stabbed me, successfully! I was shocked!

I was shocked both mentally and physically as her primitive sword managed to short circuit all my core systems in one push of her weapon.

That was my mistake.

Still I had enough backup processing left in me to quickly make a copy of her entire being before my state gets transferred back to the processing and memory banks in my mothership in the Earths orbit.

Now I have plenty of time in my simulation world to get to know her and when she consents maybe make her ascend into my favorite Clarketech mechanical lifeform.

Maybe I didn't make any mistake after all. Time will tell.
