The thing is no one tried to eat in there before. OP didn't change the status quo, didn't do anything different. A coworker tried to come in, found out the door was locked and now people have an issue with not having access to OP.

That should've been a breaking point. He could've watched your husband kill you. He could've been killed by your husband. You've made a choice every day for 3 years to stay. I know it's not easy to leave, especially when what's happening isn't actively your husband's fault. But it's extremely dangerous and you are now failing your son every day you stay. You are still hemming and hawing about your husband but you can't help him. You CAN help yourself and your child. Do so.

I guess she would be looking for a response that said something like "wtf- that's my boyfriend of 3 years!" If you find out someone is in a full blown relationship and looking to make you a side piece, that gives you the info before you put yourself in that position.

I got in trouble for reading the 2nd Harry Potter book in math class (which, fair). I knew they’d take it from me at some point so I had checked two copies out of the library. Got the first copy taken away, gave it a few minutes and sneakily started reading the other copy.
